What does my Mom tell the groomer!!

Some of you may remember me posting about my Mom's mini poodle's health saga last year. Long story short, after she spent so much time here with me while I ran her back and forward to The University Vet Hospital for tests I decided to take over her grooming.

My Mom lives in a small country town and the groomer wasnt doing such a great job so I figured I couldnt do any worse and it would a) save my Mom money and b) get me home to visit more regularly.

My Mom has had Charlie back to the groomer a couple of times just for a bath and blow dry but I cracked it and banned them from using scissors or clippers  (my Mom has to enforce that one :D ) after they ruined the lovely job I'd done of her clip, if I do say so myself!

Mom told the groomer that her daughter was clipping her poodle last year but she must have forgotten because my Mom was having a meal at a local venue on the weekend and ran into the groomer. They got chatting and the groomer told my Mom that she was amazed at the changes in Charlie's coat since she was sick. My Mom was puzzled and said yes its a little darker in color. Oh not that said the groomer its stopped growing!!!! 8O :?

Mom thought maybe the groomer was being sarcastic but the Mom's friend who was with her says she's pretty sure she was serious. Now my Mom's embarrassed to take Charlie back there and she's the only groomer in town.

I told her its no biggy it only takes an hour total to bath and blow dry Charlie in the laundry tub. Nothing like the major whole day's undertaking it is to groom Tiggy.

I'm still trying to work out whether the groomer really thinks a dogs coat would just stop growing for 18 months. 8O 8O

Mim, that's too funny!!!!!!!!!

Tell her to tell the groomer they have a new monthly pill that you can give poodles and such to stop the coat from growing once it reaches a length you like.

Ah, the miracles of medical science... :sidestep:
