Again...I am SOOO sorry about my stupid post 5 years ago.

Hi everyone...those who rememeber me, I was an active member WITH a sheepdog, lol...going through a very frightening thing.

Long story short, I miscarried, went through IVF after that, and now have my twins.

On a new point more relevant, Remy is still amazing. She is 8 now, shows no signs of slowing down. We are enjoying our new home, moved last year. Twins are just over 2 yrs old now, and our two older ones are now 10 and 9. Life has been good, busy, but I think I enjoy that.

Took a quick peek earlier and had a HUGE laugh over my original post snowballing to 9 pages, and made a side shoot off that. I can't believe it is so popular, but I guess that is what happens with that panic feeling, you want to search before making an appt...cause you really want someone else to validate your experience. I guess?? But can't believe they don't notice the TYPE of forum...LOL, so sorry :twitch:

Anyways here to apologze to all new members...I had no idea this would happen...actually when I posted it there was no members only section... and to be honest you guys were my closer "friends" as I didn't have any family to talk to. If you remember me, you know I don't have a mom or siblings.

Now lets get back to sheepies...I hope all is well, don't have the time to catch up on every post. :sidestep:

I also wanted to add I have been actively engaged in being a foster home for a rescue group. I have a foster cat and her 3 kittens right now. I also do my own rescueing, and have just taken in a lop bunny from a very bad horid place and 2 hamsters...I have helped a pregnant dog with her 9 puppies last year. It's been an interesting year.

WB :) . Congrats on the twins, you be busy. That thread, well, it kept us entertained
Welcome back Bev. Thanks for all your fostering work.
Why are you apologising? :D I totally understand why you would post here about that, it's the first place I come too. I think it's safe to say the thread escalated due to the subsequent posts from random people, which have been an endless source of entertainment! Wow so you went on to be rather productive.. it must be hectic and endless fun in your house :D
I dont think you need to apologise, I've loved the post.
I get a kick out of it every time it reappears. :D
Hi!! Welcome back!!

I'm like everyone else no worries about that post and it turns out it's provided helpful advice for those looking on the net for advice.

Good to "see" you again!

Marianne
So nice to hear from you!!! :D

Glad to see things are going well and that you are busy helping animals in need!!! I miss seeing pics!
Thanks,

Since moving into a bigger place with a bigger yard we were in a better place to be a foster home. I was going to help the spca, but with new facitlity, the small rescues need more help.

Our spca takes ALOT of California dogs from the shelters there, and fly's them back here to be adopted out. They call it california cuties, and focus on the small breeds. The spca also had a huge successful adoption event where a car dealership sponsored all the adult cats, so that if you wanted to adopt a cat, the fee was taken care of...still had to go through the process, and ALL the cats got adopted...160? cats....you would have to look at the website.

So anyways the small rescue that I am helping, gets the animals out of the pound, that are adoptable...and that was how I got the cat, she was a stray, pretty feral, but is slowly coming around. The dog was removed from a native reserve, and was already pregnant.

I would post pictures of the twins but I really don't have alot of time to be on forums anymore...I was actually googling something else, and unrelated to sheepies, popped up oes.org...and I had to laugh when I saw the old post still getting attention.

Have a great day everyone, thanks for the hellos in return. :D
Wow alot has happened in approx 2 years since I was here last. Just want to say sorry for the loss of some pets  Also some congrat's on the birth of human babies :clappurple: Nice to see.

To those who may be curious, Remy was spayed a few years ago. Her 2, and only 2 litters, are now 6yrs and 4yrs old, all in original homes, all extremely healthy, wonderful pups and the updates have always been the same the best dog they ever had. I thought some might be curious because it was a hot topic, even tho we x-rayed, eye tested and thyroid tested and more...as well as the stud...anyways I imagine some are wondering, if not well that is okay too.

I do get the privelege of seeing some of them regularly.

Anyways on another note, back to the tubes...it failed because it regrew itself...I had to have a 2nd ligation. Not sure if I updated that 2 yrs ago...weird huh.

We adopted a new cat too, for our family, she is 1 and a few months now...we got her just before we moved, as a kitten. She has a heart condition and bad knee, and she also is a polydactal...solid grey again, I guess you could say she picked us, she is quite the character too, we named her Phoebe. Our rabbit that we rescued also grey and white, LOL seems to be our thing. I think we decided to keep him, rather than rehome...he fits in well, we've only had him for a couple weeks, even tho the plan wasn't to keep him...I just had to help him...we named him Smiley.

Current hamsters we have 3, 2 are rescued, 1 is my daughters (the start of it all, and we adopted her from a tiny paws type of rescue where she specialized in pocket pets)...but wowzers for a hamster she is forever escaping her cage...we named her Kiwi. The two rescues we named banana and mango...I took them because their owners were desperate to get rid of them. I already placed a different one for someone, and decided I can do this and open my home to other unwanted hamsters. I never thought I would like hamsters, but they are very interesting creatures...and fun, as long as each have their own cage, they are easy to upkeep.

Well that about does the updates from me. Likely not going to come back and be a regular poster, tho I still miss a few of you, and have enjoyed reading some updates. Take care, but I really have to get going...and posting pictures has changed, so I guess I won't be placing any new pictures as I can't figure out the new way...I am on facebook...I can add you as friend (you know who you are) and you can see all the bad stuff the twins get into and the pets.
I love the old post, and I'm glad you made it. I'm also happy to hear (read) about what is goingmon with you and your litters!

Pics haven't changed-- you just might have to login to the photo gallery. If your password for this forum hasn't been changed that'll go smoothly. If it has been changed you'll need to use the old password for the photo gallery or request/set a new one, or ask me for help.

Thanks for the updates!
