Gilligan and the Environmental Group

Haven't given you all an update recently but this week was crunch time.

Hosted 20 members of the Environmental group instructors and their students plus students and staff from my school at my home for the day.

Not as much done as planned as everyone concentrated on the animals, but that's okay they got lots of special attention that day - especially Panda and Gilligan. Both love bugs so all the students clamored around them. As the day got hotter and students took off their jackets and placed them along side themselves - Gilligan or Panda thought that was an invitation to take a snooze right beside them. Gotta luv old dogs!Someone took an awesome photo at the end: of some of the group and both Panda and Gilligan, which I'll try to get a copy of.

Both old guys were such goodwill ambassadors that each and every student asked to come back!!! They even offered to do Saturday when that's not even their work/school days. Dunno however, as of tomorrow means I'll have four dogs underfoot as Merlin and Snoop have to come back tonight.

Still working on that retired couple to possibly foster Gilligan. He wants to but she is hesitant.

Moving out of my home that I've lived in for 16 years - OMG I'm such a packrat! New tenants are moving in tomorrow and the garage is still stuffed with stuff. We've been so busy that staying up until 3 am and getting up at 6 all week. I'm embarressed to admit I rented a one ton truck last weekend (which I drove for 2 days) and packed...took a ton of stuff to the dump...
>>reminds self that don't ever do this again. "I may need this someday"...is no longer my mantra.

Gilligan and Panda get along fabulously but he hasn't yet met Merlin and Snoop. I did a switch with the dogs this past week..Gilligan now with Panda at the new place, Merlin and Snoop at former place. However, have to do the meet and greet either tonight or tomorrow and I'm praying it all goes well as I still have three more work days to go and will have to leave them all in separate rooms as I won't be here to supervise.

Have to go to the other home...clean it- as it now sits empty but for the still half empty garage.

Okay back to moving..... :sidestep:

Good luck with the moving.....think of it as a forced purge! :?

I'm sure the boys (4 legged) will all do fine when they are together. Especially as you are making sure they have room to be by themselves. Gotta love the oldies!
Good luck!

At least you're not taking the bricks with you.… I hope!
I forgot about all those bricks  Don't remind her, she'll probably want them.
Oh Man, I remember moving. Its a pain in the back but....yeah lots of "stuff" has got to go.
Good luck!!
hey gang, you never know when you're gonna need a brick!!!!!
sooo many varied uses.
I agree Guest!

I mean when I'm frustrated I can built a brick wall and perhaps hit it.
I can point to them and say they weigh a ton.
I can claim my brain is as thick as a brick
...I'd better stop now or I'll sound like Ron...nyuck nyuck
I used to use the phrase "Built like a brick ---------".
Now I just say "Built like Marianne did it."
Ha Ha! I like that!

He's an Airedale Terrier.
Moving, to me, is one step from hell - I am a minimalist and not a keeper or saver, but moving is still painful. I've only moved a few times in my life and each time is very clear to me. Is this your last move? Good luck and I hope your last box is very near. And thank you for caring for all your recsues, what lucky animals.

ps - and when you said, "I've thrown out a ton of stuff," you're not kidding.
