How long should I expect??? TEXAS
 There is a OES puppy at Texas OES Rescue and I applied to adopt her on Saturday. How long should I expect to wait to hear back on it? There is no phone number for them anywhere I can find but I when I filled out the application I went ahead and shot them an email and a facebook message just to make sure I got seen and they knew I was serious. She is the sweetest looking little puppy in El Paso and I am just dying waiting to find out if I can make her part of our family. It is taking all my will power to not hound(lol) them everyday to ask what the status is! What is the typical wait? I don't see any Texas Rescue folks here. If there are any here then AWESOME! |

| I'm not familiar with that specific rescue's practices but some do take quite awhile. For one of my dogs, it was almost 3 weeks before I got any response even after I followed up twice. On the plus side, I wound up getting him but the waiting was miserable! |
Thanks for the response. Fortunately I actually heard from them yesterday after I posted this! Must have been a smoke signal or something! Anyway, another family is in front of mine so it looks like I wont be getting her. I am super bummed. I was so hoping.....  |

You never know. |
| someone just posted about an oes at a shelter in Texas. He looks fairly young. You might want to give them a call. The info is under the rescue or dogs in trouble section. |
| Here is the thread to the OES boy in Texas. http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=30005 Not sure how far you are from this location or if you'd be interested, but he does appear to be very young. I'd guess close to a year. I just did a map quest, it looks like it's only 45 minutes away from you. |
