Our puppy piddles a bit

Hi (and hello, first post :D )

We just got our first OES puppy and everything is going great :)
At 10 weeks, he will inform us before he have to do his business and normally we have enough time to make it outside.
But we have noticed that he piddles just a bit on his blanket, without informing us, and we were wondering if this is normal behavior of a young pup?
He sleeps and plays on his blanket and we suspect that it could be both activities that make him leak, maybe without him noticing.

Boys can take a LONG time to gain full control of their bladder.....months. So relax, at 10 weeks he's doing GREAT! Welcome aboard!
Thank you and thanks for the reply :), that was our guess as well, but it's always nice to get confirmed :)
Ditto above. Important thing is to keep at it. I have 2 intact males (father & son) ages 12 years & 5-1/2 years. My mentor told me years ago "be consistent in their housebreaking & they won't go in your house or mark in your house." Knock on wood, neither has to date.

Agree. Chewie is intact at age 4, and our 1st OES was until age 6. And 2 neutered males, one adopted, 1 a foster.

Neither ever had any marking problems, in fact they are better than all other breeds we have had! Neutered or intact. Not sure if we have just been lucky, but my own personal experience shows that OES males are way less likely to mark than most other breeds. :D And our household covers a LOT of other breeds!
