Opinions needed

We are on the third week of a 3 week course of antibiotics for Frankie. I'm supposed to call the vet Thursday with a progress report on how he is doing. I really don't know what to tell them. I know none of you know Frankie, but I still feel he doesn't have much energy. I'm not familiar with this breed so maybe his actions are normal. They are just not what I feel a youngster should be acting like. Today when I picked him up from daycare, the trainer said he played for 20 minutes in the group, then was to tired to do anything else. Is he just playing us? Do his joints hurt him? He doesn't limp or act as if anything is bothering him. He got home last night from PT and ran around like a crazy man. So why sometimes does he seem exhausted and others not? Is this normal? Am I reading to much into everything? Probably. He still makes that funny breathing noise on occasion. I noticed it Sunday when we were out walking and we met another dog, and Frankie got excited. It's like has a flemmy throat.

Help. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I'm not going to be that much help.

Tiggy does seem to have differing levels of energy. Some days she will go forever and others she tires early and makes me worry. At first I thought it might depend how hot is was but I've decided its not that.

I can sympathise with you being unsure, I feel paranoid whenever Tiggy is being quieter than usual.

I hope someone else has better advice.
Mim, thats exactly how we feel. I think thats why we worry so much. One day he's crazy next day he's exhausted.

How old is he?
It was really strange when Ru matured a little and went from Hell's own Canine to Sleepy Sheepie, napping almost all day 8O

Rufus also makes a snorty noise, especially after he's eaten or if he's rolling on the floor to scratch his back. In fact he sounds like a pig, but he's always done it, so we never worried.
Our babies worry us so much!! Lisa, we have a 1.5y/o boxer who cannot tolerate heat/humidity. She lies down on mile walks several times. We were so frightened, and thought the worst! But, she is fine in cooler weather, but more importantly, our vet gave us the reassurance we needed for peace of mind. Talk to your vet when you give the progress report. Could be just a side effect of all the stress Frankie has experienced lately. Good luck!
