Wow, great article! Here's a quick precis for those of us with ADD:

How do you treat your spouse compared to your dog?
  • Do you always greet with happiness and love? Do you expect your spouse to greet you the same way? *
  • Assuming the best intentions -- do you give the benefit of the doubt? *
  • Expectations -- Do you expect too much and are frequently disappointed?
  • Do you hold a grudge when your expectations were not met?
  • Do you accept them for who/what they are and have a real lifelong commitment?
* (Sounds like the oes.org mantra...)
