Harry and Heart on their best behavior

It is always a relief when your "children" are not embarrassing you in public but we actually got a nice compliment on them this weekend.

After the hike on Saturday we took Harry and Heart shopping on Main Street in nearby historic St. Charles where they have lots of shops and restaurants in old buildings. All the people on the street oohed and aahed over the sheepdogs. One shop let us bring them in the store where they followed us around, staying with us and waiting patiently while we shopped.

Someone commented that they "were better behaved in a store than some children".

I guess their therapy dog training and obedience and rally practices have paid off.

What a nice comliment :clappurple: :clappurple: Congratulatins Harry and Heart! I'm always afriad to bring my digs in a gift shop for fear the wiggle butt will knock over something very valuable!
:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: Good job Harry and Heart!!! :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

Reminds me of when we were looking at a rental house when the kids were little. The landlord had been burned bad by the previous tenant - the dog did lots of damage inside - and were the type that give dog owners a bad name..

I told them I was a trainer and CGC and TDI evaluator and PROMISED that my dogs would do less damage than my kids. It worked!
I think we have our new OES Ambassadors! :D

To escape our lovely Chicago winters, we sometimes rent a house in Florida for a bit, to get away. I have the most difficult time finding people that will accept a large dog, yet they accept dogs under 25 lbs, and kids, who in my experience, do WAYYYYYYYY more damage.

Go Harry and Heart! :clappurple: :clappurple:

It was a fun day!! but, everytime we passed an outdoor cafe, BOTH pups tried to pull us in to EAT!!!

I don't know whether it was because they were tired or just wanted to eat some yummy food!!!

I was great that almost everyone who passed us, either asked to pet, or 'copped a pet'~~ :D :D :D :clappurple: :clappurple:
Our area businesses aren't as pet friendly. Bobby was surprised this week when I mentioned that I have taken Chauncey to Lowes and Home Depot before. Other than these places pet's are only welcome in the pet stores.
Frederick County, about 25 miles from us has a bill pending that will allow dogs at outdoor cafes ( at the discretion of their health department regulations ).
I'm hoping that things will begin to change....but the city closest to us is fighting a dog park

Congrat's to Harry & Heart, perhaps thay could be the champion's of Sheepies rights :clappurple:
