Two dogs and one chili pot.

My husband made chili for dinner. It was great. He decided, against the advice of his spouse, to let the dogs lick the pot after it had cooled.

They both stuck their heads in, and licked side by side. No issues with sharing one pot.

So, here's my question...how is it that Rudy looks like this:

And yet Hudson looks like this:

Granted, Gordon scraped the pot pretty well to start, so it could have been worse....and Rudy's hair is shorter...but still...how did he come out looking so good? He was in the pot right up to his neck too!

And the final question:

Why are dogs with chili face infinitely more affectionate than those with clean faces? I had to RUN away from Hudson once he was done. All he wanted to do was give kisses.

He was chasing you around to give you a kiss to thank you for the great chili. LOVE the pictures, they look so appreciative.

Sheepie2 - having a difficult time logging in.
Haha! They both still look cleaner than Ru does- with no chilli :lmt: Ah-haa! Maybe Ru is a secret chilli theif?!

How could you resist those kisses?! :P
Hudson loves, loves, loves chilli so he liked Rudy's face all clean for him.
I think they where playing the "Cootie" game with you. Ha ha looked at her run when I try and touch her with my "chilli" face. After all, they are the clowns of the dog world.
   :clappurple: :clappurple:
No kisses, he wanted to wipe his face on you. How nice they can share. Here would be a constant grumble/growl.
just look at those faces how could you ever get mad at them .. they are angels
Haha maybe they want to lick you to get the chili off of their tongues. :-)
That is hilarious - they look so happy

Lucky you, I thought this was a prelude to some poop disaster.....you are very brave! Between tomato and spices - several of ours would fall. Even Todd is trained to those two ingredients and dog tummies.  It was a painful learning curve here.

That's what I was thinking, too!

Your pictures remind me of Wendel's adventure in the garbage can.

For me... NOT funny then, but funny now
Daphne now wants her first date w/Rudy to be sharing chili from the same pot. She will make sure that she washes his face afterward is needed! They can have ice cream at her house for their second date while they watch the gators safely from our back porch! We know that Rudy knows all about those gators! :P
