China's Visit to the Vet

I know this is a sheepie forum but I had to pass on China's (Violet's sis)misadventures to the Vet this morning.

With our move this weekend, I had the dogs walking around in the fields next door to us and I notice China double dipping trying to go potty, so made an appointment with the Vet. Now China does not go to the Vet very often and as far as I recall, has had good experiences so far, or so I thought. So China n I try to head out the front door with out Asia..not an easy thing to do. TG China is so good off lead and I let her out first, she went right to the van while I pushed Asia big head back into the house. geesh. Thinking that the worst was behind me, I opened the van door and China climbed in. China loves to ride in the van so she and I settled down for the drive.

We arrived at the Vet's and I put China's lead on her and we proceeded to walk toward the door of the Vet's. As soon as China's feet hit the grass she had to go #1. I was prepared with a "urine" catcher and she proceeded to urinate very little but all over my hand, I guess I should have saw that as an omen to what was about to take place. OK, get out wipes. I walked her around the grass a little and she finished without my interruption. So headed back toward the steps to the Vet's and she stopped dead and would not go any further. The Vet Aid came out to try to entice her in and no way. So I walked her around a few more times and tried again, dead stop and not going anywhere. Did I mention she slipped her collar twice? Anyway, I thought this was going to depend on who is more determined so I got behind her and pushed her up all 5 steps and her she was just as determined pushing away not to go in. Now this dog is 97lbs. I finally opened the door and pushed her through. She was fine once she was inside, OK maybe a little nervous. I was all spent, glad to be in the a/c was 85 degrees and I was trying not to pull my back out, pushing my lovely little Aussie. I won!!!!
China does have a UTI and is being treated. The Vet wants to check a new culture in two weeks, wish me luck on the stairs. :D

Great story..would have loved to see a video..........

Your story reminded me of cartoons I watched as a kid where someone is pushing and shoving from behind with little success. Funny to watch.

Not so funny to be the pusher especially in the heat. Hope its easier next time.
Poor China. POOR YOU! It is hot here! Hope all is good. You are moving? Where to?

We moved last weekend. We moved about two miles from where we were, still in the Bayside Lakes area of Palm Bay.
I hope the vet's office doesn't have large windows, the office staff would never get work done watching the goings-on of people and animals trying to get to the front door. I've had a few dance sessions myself.
