Acepromazine in humans?

My vet gave me 10mg of this stuff, but I was wondering what the effects were on humans? It was prescribed for my cat, so I'm sure it's pretty weak, whatever the effects may be.

At one time........like 60 years ago it was given to humans but was stopped. Haven't found reason. Now it is strictly for animal use only, not human. I know animals that become insanely crazed when given Ace........just the opposite of why it was given.

It's never a smart idea to take any drug w/o consulting a physician. There may be side effects that could be very harmful. For example taking Tylenol and drinking. Your liver is destroyed. Hardly a secondary effect I'd care to deal with. There's no way of knowing how Ace will react with other things you may be taking or drinking.
