Betty White on SNL

I taped last night's show and haven't watched it yet, but there was an article on Betty White's hosting on msnbc.com this morning. I ROARED when I read what she said about Facebook in her monologue:

"When I first heard about the campaign to get me to host 'Saturday Night Live,' I didn't know what Facebook was," White confessed. Then she exhibited her warm smile and a perfectly timed beat before marveling impishly, "Now that I DO know what it is, I have to say: It seems like a huge waste of time."

AMEN, Betty, AMEN!!!! :clappurple:  :clappurple:  :clappurple:

I've always enjoyed Betty, remembering her before she married Allen Luden. I'm sorry I forgot to watch last night, though I'm not sure I was even awake then. It's fun watching her, even now. What a sense of humor............and great insight re: Facebook, Twitter, etc.
One of the local stations shows The Mary Tyler Moore show every night and this week and next week is "Betty White Nights" where they are showing the episodes featuring Sue Ann Nivens. I really admire Betty White--89 and still going strong, with a hip sense of humor.
The show was hilarious. Typical SNL writing and lots of sexual innuendo but Betty White really showed her comic flare. Her timing was impecable - so important as a comedienne. Lots of recent SNL female alums showed up - Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Anna Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch.

They featured Betty in every skit.

Jay Z was awful - boring.
I thought the show was superb overall, hilarious at times and "they were trying too hard" once or twice.

I recorded the show and I'm gonna go watch it again with Joan right now!
It was more fun the second time!
Hulu has it :clappurple:
thanks to Hulu I got to see the whole Betty White part, minus music and commercials-almost.

The Weekend News with Tina talking on the situation is Greece was truer than most people know. It's a big "game" in Greece not to pay your taxes. Instead tax workers, will for a fee, take your name off the tax rolls. Why pay $35,000 in taxes when for $5,000 you can have it wiped clean?
Honestly I thought she was up there with Justin Timberlake as guest host; he is my all time favourite. She was great! Never seemed like she was reading the lines. Right on the mark.
every time i watch the skit with betty and ''her daughters'' (the opening skit), i laugh so hard that i cry....that small hands skit (all of them) is the best...it is remenicent of the old old snl....
