Hey everyone I'm new here.

Hello all My name is Jade and I'm 34 years old, I dont have my sheepdog yet but she is still in her mummys tummy and is due to be born end of this month. I already have four Cavalier King Charles and wanted a sheepdog as I had one when I was a little girl she lived until she was 17 years old.
I am very over weight I currently weigh 25 stone 9 and a half , I have been walking my little dogs and have already lost over a stone. I desperatly want an old english as they have always been a favorate of mine. I am hoping having to walk my dog and let her run in the fields will help me loose weight and get rid of some of my stress and depression. I have four children oldest is 12 youngest is 6 and my two oldest are special needs so take a lot of work emotionaly.
I have been reclusive not coming out of my house for weeks on end and am trying to get back into the world and live a little. I'm from England so mostly the weather sucks but you all seem so nice on here I wanted to say hi and ask if you think I am doing the right thing getting a sheepie. I dont mind the grooming i sit for hours combing my other dogs I just adore animals hehe. My partner is awesome very supportive and does more than his share with everything.
Thank you in advance for any advise you may offer.

Jade

Welcome to the forum! Yes, a pup should keep you busy! Please review your training techniques because an OES pup will test you. Walking will be great for you, especially now that spring and summer are at hand.

Welcome from Norfolk! You'll find lots of really helpful suggestions and advice here! Whereabouts are you getting your puppy from? Just wondered if my two might be related?
My puppy is coming from a breeder kennel name is ruffleups. I am 5th on wait list so hopefully I will get my little girl :).

Hi Jade! Welcome to the forum! We are in Kent UK. A puppy will certainly get you out of the house... and it's a gaurantee you will laugh every day.

We have UK sheepie day near Birmingham, you are more than welcome! We usually meet in the water park and have a picnic and go for walks together. First time we went we didn't have our sheepie yet either  No date has been confirmed yet, but keep an eye in the 'Playdates' section of the forum for when we finally decide on a day.

Can't wait to see pics of your puppy when it arrives! Waiting is the hardest part :D
Hello there a sheepie day sound funtastic :):) I will keep my eyes open for that thanks. And yes the waiting is killing me lol I be a nervious wreck by time she arrives hehe.

Welcome, Jade. I will have to warn you though, it can be quite tough to walk for exercise with a sheepdog puppy as you will get stopped every two feet by someone wanting to pet your dog!
