What is your favorite game to play?

Once a month Lee and I go down to my parents house and we have a game night. We try to mix our games up a bit so we don't get board. We love to play Carcassonne and Unspeakable Words (those are probably our favorites to play at the moment).

Does anyone else out there like to play games? What do you like to play?

I love Carcassonne! :D We also play a lot of Settlers of Catan. Other favorites in our house are: Munchkin and Illuminati.
Hands down, we beg our friends to play canasta! Is that what it's called? We force people to play and haven't had someone come over and not get addicted! Problem is finding enough decks of playing cards that aren't missing a few!
We usually have a full house on the weekends and we love games.
We are all very competitive, so it gets cut throat sometimes. Mostly
we have been playing boggle, slam, and a dice game with 6 dice. The
dice game is the most fun, and the easiest to learn. We play for hours
sometimes. It's one of those games where you can talk about other stuff while
playing and not lose your place. Other than that we tend toward word
games. It started out as a way to help my youngest son with reading and
spelling. Worked like a charm! We also love upwords, scrabble, spades,
Trouble (with the young'uns) and pinochle. We love games. I'd love a
game we can play at the campfire without a table. I haven't found on of
those yet.

Recently, SEQUENCE! Fast moving but you can still enjoy chatting.
Josh and I used to play a lot of tabletop RPG; Palladium, Beyond Super Natural; GURPS, Dungeons & Dragons
at my last job we used to play Bananagram during lunch. It's kind of a scrabble spin off, it's super fun!

We also used to play a lot of GURPS (mostly "Traveler") and D&D. If you enlarge any of my recent art post pics, its possible to tell that my photography "easel" Is an entire bookcase full of RPG books

That sad thing is, it gets harder and harder as we and our friends get older to find a regular time and place that a group of us can get together to play :( . I miss it!
OMG We looooove game night in this house. We are also very competitive. We love cards too!!!

We play Canasta, Euchre often for cards.

games-- Sequence. um... others too I jsut can't seem to think of them right now!

I've not heard of some of those games you guys mentioned.
We LOVE games in this house.

The kids dubbed me the Yahtzee Nazi a few years ago.

They introduced me to Risk over the Christmas holiday. That was a mistake - me and world domination are a scary thought. Besides I totally took personal offense when my husband and my oldest took over my countries when I was just a "rookie" to the game. From that point on I wasn't concerned about winning so much as annihilating them.

Did I mention I am competitive?

Personal favorites are Clue, most card games - especially Hearts, and movie trivia.
