~ Stormi, bet you are busy. Please post when you can. Miss you !
Yay! *nag nag, hint hint, nudge nudge*
Awww, I was missed...LOL :D

I haven't tried to be missing, just busy. My grandmother has ahlzeimers and it has taken a turn for the worst. The medicine she has been on for several years now is no longer working the way it should. Then just last week she was admitted into the hospital from a bloodclot.
When we went to take Annabelle in to have her stitches removed, they said they thought she could have an infection and gave us clavamox to give her and then bring her back. I am not sure what to think about the "possible infection". CJ is the one that took her in, and since they didn't take her temp, I am not sure how they came up with she may or may not have an infection. I know there are signs, such as redness or pus, but she didn't have those symptoms, I am confused.
We had a nice week having the kids home from Spring Break, and we went to Tulsa for the Elvis Costello concert! It was awesome!! He did a lot of his old stuff and a bit of the current which was just as good in my opinion. The kids loved their very first concert and they danced themselves to sleep in our arms.
We were planning a weekend trip to Dallas to go to the zoo, aquarium, and to six flags, and also to pick up our new addition to our cattery...but things didn't work out and we have rescheduled going in two weeks.
This time we won't listen to the person who answers the phone at the vets office who says "No, you don't need reservations to drop of Jack and Annie here on Friday." We did need the reservations, I thought it sounded strange.....LOL
Anyway, this has been my fun for the last couple of weeks. LOL I am staying busy, but will try not to be gone for so long.
I do read and keep up with everyone, just usually don't have time to post.
Thanks for thinking about me and my furry crew!!

TTFN,
Stormi and co.
Welcome back, Stormi! Figured you were just busy, but wanted to make sure you weren't forgetting about us!

Sounds like you had a fun week with the kids. Enjoy them while they're little - they grow WAY too fast!

I'd be confused about Annie, too. Is this a new vet? I seem to remember reading a post on vets where you mentioned something about changing. I'd want to have a real heart-to-heart with that doc.

So sorry to hear about your grandmother. It's never easy to watch someone you love just drift away from you. I'll keep her and your family in my prayers.

Anyway - welcome back!

Chris
Yes you were missed!!!

I'm sorry about your grandmother, that must be so hard for all of you. *hugs*

Come back to us when you can! :)
Hi Stormi,
Thanks for the post !

So sorry to hear about your grandmother, our thoughts
and prayers are with your family . Please post again when you
can !
Hi,

Glad you're back and does sound like you've been busy. I'm also sorry to hear about your Grandma and the what's been happening to Annabelle. How is she doing now?

Marianne and the boys
We will keep your grandmother in our prayers. I know this can be a trying time, I have had loved ones with Alzheimer's (aka Old Timers). Chris was right when she said it hard to watch someone you love slip away from you.

Glad that you enjoyed your time with the kids during Spring Break. My favorite time was when they went back to school  . Take care not to wear yourself out, seems you have a lot going on.

Now I have "the angels want to wear my red shoe" in my head.

Welcome back...you were missed!
Hi guys,

Thanks for all the kind words. As of right now, my grandma is out of the hospital, but she is still having delusions due to having dementia. The meds kept it under control for several years, but for some reason they aren't helping anymore. The dr. is in the process of changing meds to try and get it back to normal.
We have somewhat changed vets, I decided to find a different vet for the cattery. The vet we were going to was not up on the Ragdoll breed and we couldn't come to an agreement on how to care for the cats/kittens. However, this same vet has 2 other sheepdogs in her care and I thought since we have never had a problem with the dogs, I would just use 2 different vets. This is the only situation that I have questioned regarding the dogs. I just don't understand why she was uncertain that Annie had an infection, I would assume there is/was a way to be certain. The good news is, we did give Annie the clavamox like we were told and yesterday Annie went back and they took out her stitches. They didn't even take her in the back, they took them out in the waiting room. She is doing well. :D It is nice to have the spaying and neutering behind us now.

LOL, that was the opening song!! Also, one of my kids favorite and they will sang right along!! The entire show was great, but "Allison" and "What's so funny 'bout peace love and understanding" was my absolute favorites!! Did I put more songs in your head? :D

Stormi and co.
I love Allison & Watching the Detectives...I can listen to the 'My Aim is true" album over and over. blaim it on Cain...the list goes on!

Guess what CD I'm putting on as soon as I get home. Turn it up loud and get the house cleaned for Easter weekend!

On a different note...did you look at the pictures under Nab's haircut? Whisper (the cat) is an 11 month old Ragdoll. She weighs only 7 lbs. The vet say's she is fine, happy and healthy. Are any of your cats this small?
Hi Nabsmom,

Your Ragdoll, Whisper, is adorable. Is she a seal mitted and do I see a blaze too? She isn't too far off of mine, my females were all over 10lbs by the time they were a year, but they are a slow maturing breed. They won't reach full growth until close to 4 years old. The color will also continue deepening until around age 2. I wouldn't worry too much, she will probably turn out to be around 10 or 11 lbs at full growth.
Does she Ragdoll flop for you? Most of ours can be found belly up and all 3 feet of them stretched out.....LOL
If you ever have any questions about your Raggie let me know, I am fairly up to date on them and if I don't know the answer, I have wonderful mentors that can get me the answer.
And I would love more pics of Whisper!! Please!! :D

Stormi and co.
Thanks Stormi

I think she's a seal point?? My step-daughter wanted a cat that was cuddly so we did the research and came up with Ragdoll. She loves to cuddle and she does just flop over. She is very sweet and loving but also a terror at times. She is little but keeps the dogs in line. I'll get more pictures of them playing and I'll post them.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to quit worrying about her. She's happy and healthy but sooo little!
Did we ever figure out where Kristen went?
Yeah... Where is Kristen?
