I have a book somewhere that had common house hold items for cleaners. I could swear I saw something in their for stainless steel. I'll have to see if I can find the book and look it up. |
Paint it. ![]() live with stainless. Firstly, smudges and prints and second, 4 boys. Enough said. I just removed the last stainless piece, a huge range hood. I made a nice little shelf and it turned out nicely. Shellie |
First water and a drying cloth. Second soap and water........then rinse well, drying cloth. Third: Windex or other window cleaner....and a drying cloth. If at that point you are still having trouble: *Reclean with soap and water then try putting rubbing alcohol or vinegar on a rag and rub. Apply a small amount of commercial stainless steel cleaner with a damp, soft cloth. Rub in the direction of the "grain" lines on the stainless steel appliance's finish. To remove hard or stubborn stains, grease or baked-on foods with a nylon scouring pad and a hot, caustic soda solution. Refer to the owner's manual for instructions to prevent scratching surface. Rinse entire surface of the appliance with warm water. Apply a small amount of baby oil to a paper towel and rub down the entire surface of the stainless steel appliance. I agree..........Stainless and dogs and me..........will not work! Plus I think stainless is so cold looking. |
I've heard barkeepers friend works well. |
Do you have THIS in the USA? It's amazing! Bath Power is the best thing I ever used for bathrooms. Don't use the kitchen one (Kitchen Power) use the bath one. It's amazing on anything shiny or brushed. |

I use a product called Cinch. It is great for granite countertops as well. |
Okay, I know this sounds crazy but I also tried all the products and hated the results SOOOO my magic cure is....olive oil. Yep, seriously. Put a little on a cloth and rub away. It takes the smudges out and leaves it looking shiny and new. Give it a try! |

I tried baby oil too, it's great on mirrors but doesn't beat Bath Power. |
