Chasing Cats

Tiggy was a very bad girl this morning!!!

She loves, loves, loves to chase cats, so when we go for a walk down the street she spends a lot of time pulling ahead to look through open gates in case their is a cat happily sittling in the front garden. I have tried everything and have not convince her to leave the cats yet.

Its suddenly become a lot colder here, so this morning I put gloves on. Tiggy spotted a cat in some bushes that I had missed and took off down the side of the house where there is no fence. :x I hadnt realised how slippy these gloves are until she pulled the lead right out of my hand and disappeared after the cat into the back of the house. 8O

I didnt want to go walking around someone elses yard so I was standing just inside the garden calling her. Eventually she reappeared but stopped half way down the narrow, overgrown side way of the house and wouldnt budge. Five minutes of calling, and her just standing there looking at me and I was getting desperate as I was worried her lead was caught on something.

Fortunately the owner came out the front door at that point on her way to work and was happy for me to go down to get Madame. :phew:

No, her lead wasnt caught she had just decided that the empty kiddies pool that she had leapt over with room to spare while chasing the cat was too hard to jump over on the way back. :cow:

A bit of coaxing convinced her otherwise and we were on our way, after the lady had told her how cute she was. Grrrrrrr!

Thank goodness she spotted a cat in a house and not across the road. :phew: :phew: The left hand glove went in my pocket and it's fallen out somewhere on our walk.

Just call me Michael J. :rimshot:

  Sorry!!! Your post gave me the giggles because I could picture every moment!
    Sassy bitch can you tell she is related to Bab? 8) :P Birds are not allowed to land here cats or possums out of bounds too, Go tiggy, mummy might be angry but we have to laugh at your sassy girl antics. :P 8)

At least it was a nice person allowing you to retrieve the full on sassy madam  :clappurple:

Micheal Jackson and the one glove eat your heart out, tiggy rules !!!! 8)

Bring her over here soon, Syd will sort her out :cow: :rimshot:
Tiggy just needs to meet a bossy cat 8)

Thankfully it was a nice kitty owner who let you fetch Tigs up out of her backyard. :D
here Kitty, Kitty, kitty
Has Tig ever caught one and what happens then????????????
Molly chases them (or anything else), but she has never had to be stared down by a mean one or a cornered one..................??!!
We have a couple "wild" ones that live in the back forty, and she is watching for them all the time...
Harry and MO go crazy whenever a cat crosses the back field. You'd think a commando raiding party was back there. When the area was an orchard we let them go back there to see what would happen. Looked like a Dr. Seuss picture, cats in the tree tops. MO tried to climb a tree, got her paw caught and let the world know she was stuck, frightened, and frustrated.

Tiggs is doing her job, keeping the world safe from cats.
19-20 degs is not COLD!

Wuss!

:P
No, in centigrade it is PERFECT!
^^^^^^^
Not to me its not I prefer the 28, 29, 30's!! :D
However it was early and only 13 celsius with a bitey southerly and I have dodgey circulation in my hands and feet.

Tiggy 'catches' my cat at home and gives him a sheepie spit mohawk. I'm not sure what she'd do if she caught a strange cat :lmt: , I'm a bit worried about what the cat would do. :twitch:
30C is 86 F, sorry starting to get a bit warm for me unless it's pool time......then 33C plus is preferred.

My east garden was 29C though the rest of the area was considerably cooler.....heat sink there. Good place to warm except the *&^%$ winds were howling. Is it any wonder plants suffer so here.
It only managed to get to 16 top today. Most of the day was 14 or less.
Positively cold for autumn. :(

And yes 33 plus is nice for pools.

Probably swat her a good one across the nose as it HISSES at her!   My dogs give cats a wide berth!
I loved your story, it was funny reading it! It reminds me to Charlie as she is chasing cats too!!! I have to watch her when having a walk cause from nowhere she would see a cat (while I wouldnt!) and she starts chasing her with me running like an idiot after her! :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

Well, maybe I should send Charlie over to you and they start a "cat chasing club" !! lol
Tiggy would love to have a cat chasing club. 8O My dalmatian Rastus, will be in it too if non sheepies are allowed to join.
When I ask Bailey "where is the kitty?" - she runs straight to the TV to bark, bark, bark. The fact that she ran past three live kitties on the way to the TV completely escapes her.
Occassionally she will make a bouncing motion like she is going to chase the cats as they run past, but she never has chased them.

The cats hate my son's dog. We think it is because she really wanted to play with them when she was a puppy - and that meant I'll chase you, then you chase me. The cat's have learned to work as a team and trap the poor dog in a corner somewhere every chance they get. When the cats start screaming at the dog, Riley runs over to "comfort" them.
