The Late Great Mamoo's Birthday

Today is Martin Zephram's 8th birthday but as you know he is not here to celebrate it with us. To say the least it is hard on both Michele and I, but dare I say somewhat harder on me. Martin, like Virgil, is definetly a "daddy's boy". The seven months since Martin passed over to the Rainbow Bridge have been absolutely devestating to me and in some ways I will never recover from his sudden, unexpected and far too early departure. For the most part the joyfull memories from his too short life have replaced the dispair of him not being here, I feel his love and presence so often and I "talk" to him a lot, but on special days like this, the days when we really should be doing something special together there is simly no getting around the fact that he is just not here.

I know he visits Heather and Tulak as well as all of Michele's departed furkids but most of all he is with his "hair brother", Punk. I can just see the two of them bounding across the meadow by the rainbow bridge, both of them with so much hair flowing and bouncing with every cavortng step they take. I'm sure they are playing tricks on all our other kids and getting into just a little bit of mischief since they are both such fun-loving adolescent boys.

Take care my beloved Martin Zephram, make sure your care-giver gives you special treats, I know you will share them with your brothers and sisters. Have a great birthday my son. I promise I will make it up to you for all the time we are missing when I get there.

As I was giving Rigley (Martin's full brother) his birthday treat this morning. I was thinking about all his siblings esp Martin because I had heard about his passing through Val Bandas.
I know that your happy memories with Martin will carry you through.
