What shoould I do and how should I teach him not to do this again?! One day, I just gave him a bone to bite and then I went to upstair....when I back, I found that he bite the mullion again....Please help me!! Thanks!!

Is Moomoo (great name by the way) left in an enclosed area or free to roam?

I ask because Woof ( 9 months) went through a similar phase of chewing walls / skirting boards etc and it was mainly his way of complaining about being a) bored and b) left alone - we now let him loose around the house (as lond as he's not all wet and muddy) and he no longer chews....

We keep MooMoo in the first floor...
He has his own playground in there.
He cannot go up to the other floor as he want..Sometimes we go to other floors and keep him there.....

I felt so sad about he bite the wall....we just got the house...

Should I let him loose around the house?
Is this the only way? Please give me more advise...
Thank you so much!!

Letting Woof roam worked for us - but our house is an old, tumble-down cottage type of house, which we were less worried about being damaged!

A good idea might be to encourage Moomoo to chew something else like a good chew toy (We found Nylabones particularly good as they are quite hard and come in puppy size as well as adult). Another distraction is to get a chew toy that allows you to place a food treat inside it - Woof spent hours trying to eat a dired meat trat we put inside one of his toys....
Hi Moomoo. Shanti did the same. I have to fix a whole wall columm!!! Now he doesn't do it anymore (may be is a stage!!). I do keep him inside the house when I have to leave (I have tried to keep him in the patio but neihbors told me that he cries a lot :( ) so when I leave Shanti inside the house, I make sure he has his toy/s (his favorite and the best is a huge leather bone.!!! Hope This might help
