Welcome to the forum Guest. :)
There are lots and lots of threads on housetraining.... if you do a search you will find lots of advice and help.
I'm so sorry you lost your previous pup. They usually live long happy lives even with hip displaysia, but need extra care to keep them comfortable. Was the pup from a reputable breeder? Was there a guarantee in place?
I am personally glad, no, I say elated to hear you have opened your heart once more and healed a scar. Not everone can do so, it does take courage. Now you can revel in the furry sweetness that a sheepdog brings once more.
Good luck and have fun.
unfortunately I did'nt get her from a breeder..so no garantee :( .The vet said it was the worst case he had ever seen. Thankfully I now have a beautiful healthy pup!! I will post pics soon!! Thank you for your warm welcomes,I'm sure this forum will become my second addiction (puppy being the first of course)...I am amazed at fast she is catching onto some tricks I have tried for potty training!! Yay!!
Welcome to the forum! Since you've been reading it for awhile, you know what we're all about - anything and everything sheepie! I love this forum, too, and find myself going through withdrawal if I can't check it at least once a day!

I'm so sorry about the loss of your puppy from hip dysplasia. I have an 11-1/2 yr old girl that suffers from it, too. She was a rescue, originally from a puppy mill, so we had no guarantee either. But she's just so darned lovable that I wouldn't trade her for anything!

Post pics soon!

Hi,

Welcome to you and Sasha!! I know you're going to just view this forum as such a help in weeks and years to come. You can ask anything and have so many willing to offer support or advice.

It must have been heartbreaking to have gone what you did with your first Sheepie. I'm glad you decided to give it another change as the love of Sahsa will help ease the pain you had felt in the past. While I realize she's not a replacement..but her own little being, it sounds like you two are going to just love each other for years to come.

I'm Marianne and mom of three boys , Blue, Merlin , Panda...and 4 cats, Daisy, Paris, Mama Kat and Lil Girl.

Have fun and of course we want pics of your little girl!
Welcome! I'm sorry to hear about your puppy. :( But congrads on the new pup! I hope Sasha will help heal the sadness in your heart. Post pictures! :D
Puppies are truely therapy!!! Sasha has been amazing. I know we all say it but I truely think I have the worlds best puppy!!! I forgot how smart sheepies are! I find myself acting like a 1st time mom because I am soooo paranoid of everything and if it might hurt/upset/damage her.LOL. My newest is: because she pulls on her leash when she runs and gets to the end it yanks on her neck so I worry about damaging her neck somehow 8O. I love how many of you have rescued dogs!!! That makes you angels and I tip my hat to you! ~Twyla
I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your first Puppy. You said you didn't get it from a breeder. Where did you get the pup from?
That must have been an absolutely awful experience. I am glad you were able to get past it and get another Sheepie pup.
Good Luck with Sasha. I hope she is a wonderful dog.
Also welcome!!! You will love it here.

    I got her from an ad in the newspaper, when I went to pick her up the guy had all the puppies running around his back yard,I had such a weird feeling (about the family) but all I wanted to do was get the poor dog outta there. It's really sad because you don't want to buy a pup from a "backyard breeder" but at the same time it's horrible to think of what comes of theses pups. Where did you get your pup from?
Welcome! More Alberta Sheepies! Sorry to hear about your first Pup :(
I'm so sorry to hear about your first dog, I know it was heartbreaking. I'm happy for you and Sasha and hope you have a long and healthy life together.
