Let me tell you a bit about Harley

We lost our oldest sheepie, Winston (13 yrs) in January, and were left with Lacy (7 yrs) and Chap (6 yrs). We said: "Two dogs is all we want. No more. We can continue to rescue and foster occasionally, but we just don't want three again, it's too much work, it's too expensive, it's too chaotic...."

And then in February we rescued Harley (formerly Kira). Well we had every intention of re-homing her, and even had several families lined up waiting for her. We were just going to get her spayed and put some weight on her, get her a clean bill of health. And that was going to be GREAT because dang, this girl is INSANE. :excited: :excited: :excited: She's 100% puppy who has never had any training and at 14 months old, is taller than our 6 year old male and thinks she should jump on everyone and everything constantly! And chew and chew and chew (currently in the market for a new coffee table, thankyouverymuch) So phew - at least this will only be a pain for a little bit.

And then quick as the wind she won everybody over and nobody in this house wanted her to go. And I said "BUT WE DON'T WANT THREE!" and they said, "BUT MAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWMMMMMMMMMMM, we LOVE her!"   :plead: :plead: :plead:

And I sighed and said oh hell, fine. She can stay. :|

And now I need PUPPY TRAINING PRONTO! 8O

Congratulations!!

I think at some point in everyone's life they become a foster failure, myself included! That's how we ended up with a third cat when we were only going to have two.
Ah great for Harley!
it's why i can't do foster.
have offered transport though.
Congrats on your new family member!!

Maybe it's in the name, as I don't see our foster Harley going anywhere fast either......

Actually ours was! It's what fit this wild child. I wanted Paisley but that is way too demure for her!

She's a squirrel chasing, phone book eating, furniture destroying MANIAC.
