Maggie rules....once again

Maggie is the only female dog in the house, and she rules!
She has always blatantly stolen any bone or toy from Chewie, and does it just because she can. She often drops them on the floor on front of her crate, and then lays in her crate and dares him to come even touch one of them. It's not unusual for her to have 3-4 bones and a stuffie arranged in a 4 foot space in front of her crate......
She used to make him give up his bones he was actively chewing, but now he has gotten braver and most of the time he keeps it. It is quite hilarious!

So, night before last I'm laying on the loveseat watching TV (no agility class :( ) and Chewie as usual is laying right near me. Other dogs are milling around, and I am pretty much ignoring them. Todd walks in the room and just starts laughing like crazy. He says - "look at Maggie and Chewie" ......... and I wished I had my camera handy!

Chewie is laying on the floor, front legs out in front of him. Maggie is laying facing him, and she has each of her front legs on top of one of Chewie's, pinning them to the ground. Directly to his left is a bone, to his right is a ball. Maggie is staring him down.....each time Chewie even LOOKS at one of the toys, she darts her head out and he stops. She never touches him (except for the paws pinned down), nor makes a sound.

This goes on for several minutes, and when I asked Todd to grab the camera, Maggie got up and walked away.

Poor Chewie...I hope you come to his defense sometimes..
What a BITCH!

I should lend you Sybil so she can set her straight on her brother's behalf. Sheepdog boys are always such softies

Maggie would be shocked, I'm sure.

The odd thing is, she does it in an almost maternal way. She never is the slightest bit aggressive, more like a firm parent or older sibling.
When she had him tacked to the floor, she was almost kissing him in the face as well. Chewie wasn't scared or frustrated, he just had this "oh, whatever, so you proved you can be the boss again" look on his face.
   Poor Chewie! It is so funny when the girls push the boys around. I have a 6 pound girl cat that regularly tortures my 17 pound big boy cat. She will chase him under furniture, bite him and make him cry. He is very sweet and just wants to be friends!
Poor Chewie!! Maggie has a new game

Girls rule here since Sam is gone. It's MO, Queen Bitch. Jack cries the loudest when she "corrects" him. It's how they woke me this a.m. MO is bitchier with her arthritis. Glacier is deaf so ignores MO's growls, but still gives the boys what for.

You just described Sybil to a "T". I believe you've made that comparison before?

I love a bitch like that. They're so confident in their "duties" and know who and when to lord it over, and they know how they want their  household run.

Yep, Maggie runs a tight ship
She and Sybil are so alike it is scary. Thankfully they each have their own household to rule :D :D
poor boy...
a lady I knew rescued a lab.retriever. She had been a brood bitch and was very very bossy. She had only been in her new home a day or so when her new Mums daughter brought her lab. ret. dog round to visit. The dog bounded in the house as usual and the new bitch pinned him to the floor. Being a male he tried again and she nipped his leg! Next time he went visiting he wouldnt get out of the car! Then sadly the lady died suddenly and her daughter gave Daisy a new home. Guess who rules the roost? So funny to watch as the male dog is so much bigger. But they do love each other really.
That's funny. Bogey feels for Chewey. Gigi does the bitchy thing with him also.
:clappurple: :clappurple:
Girls RULE!!!

So many stories there...poor Finnie looks at Georgie sometimes
like can't you just love me??

They cuddle all night long but, don't touch her Nylabone!!!!!!!
She isn't too ugly but, the bitch gets the point across!

(sorry Chewie)
