Murpy's first show

Hi everyone, I am entering Murph in his first puppy match on Sunday. He will go to the groomers on Saturday, he will look great after comming from there, but I was wondering after I brush him out Sunday morning before the show if ther was something I should spray on his coat to keep it looking good. I will get up early on Sunday and clean his beard , but need to know if ther is something I should be spraying on him a while before he goes in the ring. He is only 5mos. old and we have never shown a dog, and I guess we are just going to try our best. Any info you might help will be GREATLY appreciated. Also does anyone know how to stack a sheepdog? We haven't a clue  We probably have no business being ther anyway but thought it would be fun. thanks Lorie& I know I'm going to embaress my mom and dad Murphy

I would just wing it for now, there is a thread on show training somewhere, and if you follow a link there is an amazing hour and a half long video you can watch online of a trainer showing people how to show. It's awesome.
In Canada we can't show a pup til it is at least 6 months of age.... but at that age judges are fairly lenient since puppies are puppies, and also you can ask for some tips from some of the experienced people there.
I can't wait to hear all about it, that is so exciting!
A puppy coat doesn't need as much to get it in show shape. It needs to be very clean, and absolutely mat free.
That really does sound like fun! Good luck to you & Murphy!! Let us know how he does and of course, be sure to post pictures.
You will have a great time, judges love puppies :D Don't worry about stacking at first, just enjoy it and let Murphy have fun. It has been my experience that that it's better to have the bath a few days before the show so the coat isn't so soft, but worry about that later. Good luck and take pictures to post.
