Pleasant Experience at the AKC Show

DH and I went to the AKC dog show today and found many beautiful dogs. Among my favorites are: Goldens(love, love, love them) Irish Wolfhounds, and many beautiful OES.

Just before we got to the door leading in, I veered off because there were two goldens coming out. I know enough to ask if you can pet the dogs and these two were just gorgeous.

Among the OES I met some old friends (embarassed to say they remembered us first) and made many new. I remember some folks saying that dog shows are not the friendliest places and that some dog owners are snots. So I was pleasantly surprised to say that I found no snots. In fact, everyone was super friendly. One women(someone else was showing her dog)also ran a booth, and in that booth they had strippers. I have wanted one of these for a while but was not sure how to use it(Simon has a VERY thick ruff). She showed me how to pick one and very basic instructions on how to use it. I'm still nervous to use it, but not as much as before.

All in all...a very pleasant experience.

If it helps, I read it with the intended version of the stripper....... and then had to go back to read it as the racier version!
Pam - Sunny came home and asked me if she was supposed to have given you an application to join the club (well, yes). I was supposed to be there for the club meeting, but ended up staying home sick.

Anyway, great that you guys made it to the show and even better that you had a good time. Of course people remember you  And not just because you guys adopted one of out rescue dogs or attended the club's agility seminar

Do I sense Golden envy?
