Update on Hudson...and a Rudy moment.

So far Hudson is okay. :crossed: No problems. Hubby took him for a walk and he made a nice, normal, large "deposit." We'll be watching very carefully.

My hubs and I had a plan for today. He would go to work late (leave around ten) and I would blast home at lunch to check on Hudson. We only had a half day with the kids, and the afternoon was report card writing time (I always chuckle at the generosity of getting two and a half hours of work time to complete a thirty hour job. I have not seen daylight on a weekend since before Valentine's Day...but I digress...) I told my principal I would come right back (barring an emergency) but might be a little late.

So the kids went home at noon and I blasted home to find Gordon's truck in the driveway. He started working on his laptop bright and early, and decided to stay home all day and work from home, in bed, in his underwear. But, could not come up with the idea of calling me and saving me a trip.

So what could I do? Yelling wouldn't work, so instead I ordered sushi (YUM) and picked it up on my way back to school. (He was pouty, but...good. I'm glad.) And it was from one of my favourite places so it was delicious, and still manged to gross out some of my colleagues.

So far tonight Hudson's still fine. I gave them each a small Kong with a few small treats inside to occupy themselves. Apparently this was Rudy's first Kong experience and he had no idea what to do. He ignored it at first, but when he saw Hudson enjoying it, he started licking it. About half an hour later he eagerly began gnawing on the cookie holding parts.

And five minutes after that he pulled the hard rubber KONG apart.

I have never, ever known a dog to do that!

I guess there's no point in learning something new if you can't practice by completely overdoing it.

I got the pieces, so at least he's not in danger, but sheesh. IT'S A KONG. And prior to this, I didn't think Rudy even knew he had teeth. He's always so gentle.

Say it with me now, 'Boys are DUMB'...

Glad Hudson is doing ok!
He is, but as of ten minutes ago, the dreaded chickenfarts have begun. 8O

It's going to be a long, and stinky night.
You lucky duck! Sounds like a party!
NOT THE DREADED CHICKEN FARTS!!!! LOL I don't feel that bad for you yet as I have to put up with Edgar ripping huge stinkers every night as I am trying to sleep. The smell gets in my mouth and you can't breath. :( Hopefully he won't get the runs though.
