The funny story, last night I took Colin to the hospital so they would not have two cars there. We are sitting having a beer in my place before we left and he starts talking to Obe about the baby... Obe you be nice to my son and protect him and I'll teach him to be nice and not pull your ears, hair, etc. If he gets out of line just bark and let him know that is not a good idea.
I also thought about a gift certificate then they could get whatever they needed, a bunch of diapers, or just a bunch of random things. I like the OES blanket the best. If the blanket is big enough they could keep it for a while and it could be a gift from Obe as well.
Nice idea! Michelina has 3 on ebay right now: http://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-ENGLISH-SHEEPDOG-SAMMY-THROW-BLANKET-MICHELINA_W0QQitemZ380174470308QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0
Babies come with a lot of needs. Diapers will always be welcome....and wipes.....etc.
Yes Shon...Michelina has a really cute blanket on sale. I think she has reduced it from the original price too...it would be a perfect gift from you!
If you think they really 'need' the gift card, then that's a great way to go, but a gift like the blanket will be a memorable keepsake.
I don't think you could go wrong either way. I know I always loved gift cards, b/c you KNOW you'll be at Babies R Us for a long time to come, with endless diapers, etc. But more personal gifts are always welcome too in my mind.
congrat to your friends!
That blanket is too cute. Shon, you MUST buy that for Obe's cousin!
The blanket would be a nice gift--different - bet they won't have duplicates of that one.
I love the blanket idea, its super cute, and it would be personal, just from you and Obe.
the blanket, the blanket, the blanket, the blanket, the blanket, the blanket, the blanket, the blanket,
Shon, you sound like a really sweet roommate! Congrats on Obe being a new 'big brother'!
Will come up to Evergreen soon......... will let you know.
