Weight Pull results 2-26 through 2-28-2010

We were in our 1st weight pull since last July! It has been a long time. Thankfully all the sledding we do has kept him in decent pulling shape. Missing of course, was the mental aspect that is a huge part of pulling.

Saturday Chewie pulled 1500# (he weighed in at 70#) and his percentage was 21.43 times his weight.

Sunday he pulled 1580# which is 22.57 times his weight. The 1580 I believe ties his personal best! I was very happy with how he did :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

I also brought Biscuit, Todd's 10 month old lab pup with.
Saturday we pulled in the Novice pull. (We had tried this once when we 1st got him, at about 5.5 months old. Just pulled light weights, got used to having the little cart behind.)
So, I started him w/ the little toy breeds on the little garden cart, worked up to the 300# big cart. In novice you can train, touch the dog, be on lead, basically whatever you need to do. I tried Biscuit as if we were pulling for real - off lead, no touching.

He ended up pulling 1020#! (He weighs 62 pounds) 8O 8O

Sunday we entered the real class and he again pulled 1020# for a percentage of 16.45 times his weight. :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

I'm proud of my pups!! :D :D
