| I've been thinking about (and very much enjoying!) all of the pictorial contributions. After considering what an incredible coffee table book we could collectively put together it struck me that the next time a newbie comes to the forum asking about the breed, we send them to THIS thread first. After that, if they still want to know, we answer questions Keep'em coming. I never realized how many incredible pictures there are out there. Having a blast. Kristine |

Tiggy in her extreme sleeping heat. Semi final  In training for the confined space extra difficulty points, see next entry.  Then she went all out in the extreme sleeping final and added a confined space for extra points on difficulty.  She also entered group freestyle hammock.  Stuffie Terminating where she received extra points for the perfect grin  Then moved on to pillow terminating  The aftermath  Not sure whether this fits the extreme sleeping or mixed spooning category.  Vacuum herding  But I'd have to say that extreme sleeping is her best event  Unfortunately all the sheepie wrestling photos never turn out |

Rufus sustained an injury in the 'jumping off stuff you shouldn't be on' category. I had this ice on his leg for ages, then felt the skin to make sure it wasn't too cold. Turns out fur is a really good insulator (you don't say?!) his skin was still warm. He says he will feel better after some treats and that ice cubes are supposed to be administered orally. |

| The Sheepdog Olympics and other sports are very good entertaining. HOWEVER, we must not forget the incredible amount of effort the contestants put into training, and the enormous stresses they put their fuzzy bodies under! Sheepdog sports injuries are a real concern! We should have a sombre moment to reflect on the courage of these sheepdogs who do this for us! I know this from personal experience, the aftermath of Mady incident working on her extreme sleeping in confined places was not pretty!   |
