biting air

I have noticed that when Bella and Dexter play after he has really got her going she will start biting the air around Dexter. This is after he has chewed on are leg, licked her face, run away and is coming back to her to rough house some more. She does this both inside and outside and only after they have wrestled for awhile. She doesn't do this when they chase each other around the yard. Does this sound familar to anyone and should I try and stop it or let it go. She never makes contact. Dexter does all the chewing on her. 8O

all play in my household. ;-)
labradoofus and sheepie did it all the time.
that alligator like snapping in the air? Mine have always done it when excited playing with each other. I suspect it is some sort fo victory right ;) I let them do it to a point. If it gets out of hand they get a warning, if it continues i get them doing something else. I am sure the neighbors are more concerned about it thna i am :) :)

Yep, Inca does this too when she's excited.. she did it a lot when she was a puppy towards us humans, not necessarily other dogs (when we came home from work etc.) not so much now.. maybe we're just not that exciting anymore

Oh I could use a Land Shark this afternoon
I've never given it a name

Mine seem to use it when they're fed up with each other. It's definitely a warning in their case.
