OES Mill Dog Rescues

Hi everyone,

Many of us on here help with rescue in one way or another. More of us just talk about it. How many have taken the time to actually contribute? Those that have and those that continue to contribute with any breed or cause have hearts the size of mountains. Very few of them have the extra funds to do so but do anyway. Others help arrange transportation, make phone calls and/or house rescues temporarily and make sacrifices in their personal lives to cover the costs or added inconveniences.

All rescue organizations rely heavily on private contributions and the help of members and others to save and improve lives. The lives they save could very well have been one of our own pets except for circumstances that these guys have had no control over.

OES Rescue continually needs support to function. One important cause at the moment is the OES mill dogs. If you haven't seen this heart wrenching story you should take a moment to check it out!

H2H Rescue and Cathy of Wigglebottom’s along with many others have contributed much to help these abused sweethearts. H2H and other rescues also have several others that need help and/or homes. Please take a minute to see in your heart if you can't help with this effort or any other rescue effort.

Contributions do not have to be large, it all adds up. I'm sure any amount or any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Saulmr,

Thanks for the link. I wasn't aware of nor had I seen your site before. Lots of cute stuff and some neat ideas and concepts. I hope it helps raise many of the funds you obviously need helping all of those in need.

Zach
These dogs are in urgent & immediate need! we need to focus on the severly in need first http://www.wigglebottom.com/Rescue.html.
please help these babies, the photos will break your heart!
i ordered my cathy howard t-shirt for the cause, plus donated money too. please open your hearts to these shaggy angels. thank you, sue ferchak
These are beautiful dogs and need help NOW> Donations can also be made through www.HearttoHeartOESRescue.org. I urge everyone to buy a shirt, it could be the best $25.00 you will ever spend.
Thanks sue, shelby, corky, & fergus. I feel the same way and I know they appreciate it. Pretty cute t-shirt huh? Diane & I got ours and they are really cute.

Pretty neat what Saulmr is doing for these guys. God knows they have needs of their own.

Thanks all!

Zach
I love the Danita Shop stuff and it's great they offer up such a cute assortment to help all rescues!! Good job!!
Now I don't know that this is "official", but NEOESR may be coming to the rescue's "rescue" and paying the vet bills for the MO puppy mill dogs! Does that make sense??! : )
As soon as it is official, I'll be changing my webpage to reflect that your funds will go to assist any other OES that H2H needs help for as well.
I just want everyone to know that 100% MINUS ONLY shipping charges of your payment will go to H2H for these 5 OES or any others that are in need. They are also paying medical expenses on the OES that was on eBay recently and have several other rescues in need.
Since I don't know how the "book keeping" is done from their end, and for the sake of my credibility...I just want to stress that if NEOESR pays the Vet bills, then the $$ from the sale of these shirts will still go to H2H. I simply wait for the payments to arrive in my account and then make a lump sum donation to H2H via their paypal account. Clear as mud?
Thank you one and all for your generosity!!
i just received my shirt and it's adorable :D The bonus gift was great, these shirts would make wonderful gifts and they come in nice red box with white ribbon. Cathy the artwork is so cute, I love the blow dry one. I hope everyone orders these :D I know I sound like a commercial but I've never been so pleased with anything purchased sight unseen. Thank you Cathy.
i received my t-shirt today. i am THRILLED! mine is a beautiful powder blue, so soft too! now, i sound like a commercial.
thank you Cathy & thank you Heart2heart. More sheepies saved! sue :clappurple:
Thank you all. Unfortunately, we're in the middle of a minor disaster here and I had to shut down my site! :( I'm hoping to be back to "normal" (what's that???!) here in a few days! I am truly thankful for all the support for these OES and feel blessed that I can help AND have such fun AND
meet such nice people at the same time! It doesn't get any better than that!
Thanks again,
Cathy and the Wigglebottoms: Taz, Abigail, Ashley and Simon the OE Cat
P.S. Just to give you a hint of what this month has been like for us?? My van has been in the shop for 3 weeks ++ now, the Wigglebottoms are VERY upset because they're "wheels" are gone and that I have had to be off running errands (walking errands!) without them! (This IS Maine and it's too icey for them to come with me...not to mention the Post Office, Grocery stores, etc. don't allow "dogs"! One major dye printer went belly up and the THREE back ups for it were all damaged in some way shape or manner during the x-country move last year and this, I just now discovered! Beware the MONTH of March! BUT, we're still laughing..and as Martha would say "that's a good thing"! The next "Rescue" picture you see on my website may very well be MINE! :
Gee Cathy I sure hope it gets better! At least srring should be here soon :D
Things ARE looking up! : ) Cross your paws that we'll be up and running/driving very soon! Spring is definitely in the air and I'm looking forward to the day when all the ice is gone and I can safely take my trio for a long walk on the waterfront!
Zach...which of your puppies are those two beauties in your Avatar?? (this is where, under normal circumstances, I'd add "Can I have them??!", but I can guess the answer! LOL! )
Cathy and the Wigglebottoms
Hi everyone,

Thanks Cathy, got lucky on a shot of them the other day. At 8 1/2 weeks, I've got my free to good home sign out. (kidding) They are a handful but cute and a lot of fun also.

Glad to see you are thawed out, up and running and in one piece! My wife's is going to the vet and she has your OES Puppy Mill T-Shirt on. She loves it and says even after washing it looks great and is very nice and comfortable.

Thanks again and best wishes!

Zach
Anyone hear any news with these guys?

Zach
Hi Zach-went to H2H site but no updates. There was a a notice saying NEOESR paid part of the medical bills and thanking Cathy for her valuable contribution with the shirts.

Holly
Thanks Holly. Any news with you?

Zach
http://www.hearttoheartoesrescue.org./RumbaAndTango.htm

Rumba and Tango are sisters who have been together for about 7 years. They were inspected by the USDA... yes, the United States Department of Agriculture because they were commercially bred. Both girls are very sweet and we feel will make wonderful family additions. They have both been spayed and we would like to see them homed together if at all possible. It appears that whomever had possession of these girls cared about them up to a point because they are at good weights when they arrived. Rumba had a lump excised recently requiring a large incision on the back of her neck. We are awaiting the biopsy results.
April 5th Update: Great news- the lump was benign so Rumba's doing super!

http://www.hearttoheartoesrescue.org./ChaCha.htm

Cha-Cha is the daughter of either Rumba or Tango. She has been spayed and has a loving disposition. More details will come soon about this special girl.

Dog Auctions... the sad reality is that the breeder was through with Rumba, Tango and Cha-Cha (one of their adult babies) and these found themselves at a dog auction with a very uncertain future. Fortunate for them, they ended up in the hands of an all-breed rescue that wanted to give them a chance for a good life. Dog auctions can be a terrible place where irresponsible breeders dump their unwanted "inventory" as in the case of Molly. A responsible breeder would NEVER sell their breeding adults nor any other dog at one of these auctions... not knowing who will get them, for what purposes they will be used nor the conditions in which they will live.

Rumba, Tango and ChaCha have been spayed & got their stitches out yesterday :D They are doing great with no indications of any health problems at all. All 3 girls are very sweet and very loving. These girls are up for adoption now on the H2H website & on Petfinder.
Good Golly Miss Molly (Missouri Dog Auction Baby) has some real health issues but she is doing better.
Kaye Fletcher just got another another sheepie girl (1 yr old) from a kill shelter in Dallas...
Her name is Blossom...such a beautiful sheepie :D
