Hugs to Maizie. Hoping for good news soon!
I hope all goes well - hoping they are some benign cyst or lump.
How did it go? :ghug:
Hi Ya

Thanks for yr kind wishes!... Maizie is going in next week to have the lumps took off! They both are cyst the one has burst the other one on her muzzel will be sent away!

She's also got a bladder problem. I had her spayed when she was 6 months old, I have read it can cause them to leak, when they get older, They are going to look at that too, It may be an infection, But if not they can give her tablets to control it! Poor girl she will be 6 in June! Maizie is never sick shes like a tank! just goes with the flow!! :) She will be Fine!! shes tough cookie!!! hahaha!

Shes just feeling sorry for herself at the moment because shes been clipped she always goes quite and sulks when she's clipped! :)

I will keep you undated.. Thanks again my sheepie friends x
That's pretty good news then! :phew:

The cysts are not anything worse <relief> and spay incontinence, if that's what it is, is very common and lots of dogs are on meds to regulate it, many for most of their life. I just babysat a friend's leaky rescue sheepdog. She's on proin and has been taking it since she was about a year old or so and the meds keeps her almost completely regulated.

Glad everything went well.

So glad it isn't anything serious...

What day is she going in???

On Tuesday, Heart is going in for an oval tootsie pop sized tusch cyst~~~

We can worry together, although I am sure both will be fine!!!!
Oh Kim! so sorry for Mazie. Hope you get good new from the vet.
:ghug:
Sometimes I wonder if sheepers are super cyst prone. Both MO and Jack are sporting several on or under ribs. All the other sheepers have been "cysty."
Poor Maizie - give her a cuddle from me and try not to worry (easier said than done I know!) Hope she feels better soon.x

I think it may be indicitive of a larger issue within the breed. It would seem to me that it has to be related to autoimmune issues. My guy that is prone to cysts also is hypothyroid and has other immune related issues.
Kim,

I am glad that it seems to be fairly normal.

Harry wants her to know he thinks she looks lovely with her new cut. He is still smitten.

Bassets are quite prone as well. Never had one on the 3 OES we've had though :D
Poor Maize clipped and then more to come. ((hugs)). Let us know how things turn out next week Kim.
Tonks takes Proin for being leaky. She's leaked almost since day one; even before her spay. We've had an ultra sound done, and all sorts of blood work and tests, and not really found a culprit to blame. She seemed to be able to control it very well between 6 months and 24 months, and not that long ago, for no apparent reason, she just began leaking two and three times a week. And her accidents happened mostly at night, and always while she slept.

We've got her on Proin now, with the vet checking her every month or so to see if we can start backing down the dosage to the lowest effective one. Its worked very well for us.
What good news! Sorry about the surgery, hope she does well. Chloe had a cyst removed from her bum when spayed, I was worried, but she did very well. Hugs! And for poor Heart too...ouch!!
My prayers are for Maizie and your family
WOOHOO good news. So glad it was nothing more serious.....Best wishes and hugs from Chauncey & I.
ps: Chauncey wants me to add a
