Richard is home!!! but now am ill ( update )

Well the great news is he is doing very good and seems to be healing well this time.

Now I have not said anythinng but for months my legs have been very swollen and ozzing lots of water. Now with sores too.

I went to doctor and was told " I am retaining water! gee ya think!

I was given water pills.
After not being able to walk much and the pain was killing me I went to emgerancy.
Was there for hours. Lots of tests/ results were the blood is not returning up my legs and is pooling with the water, I am going to a vain dr this thursday.

I got some of the swelling down watching what I drank ect and no salt.
The sores were infected and the EM Dr. put me on a antibody. It seeems to be helping.

To say the least my nerves are shot............

BUT at the best Richard is doing well and that's important to me.
He HAS to stay off his feet most of the time.

Well that is my update, sorry its not all good news.

Glad he's home to take care of you now that you're not doing well.

I've been wishing a lot lately that we could stay in our 20's forever. Stuff started to not work for me once I entered the 30's.
Good news Richard is home and doing much better. I'm sorry to hear that u aren't doing so well. I hope all gets figured out quickly and u get on the road to recovery.

Take care of yourself and keep us updated.

I'm with Mrs J, I'ld like to go back to my twenties. :D
Glad to hear Richard is doing better but sorry to hear your problems

Just a heads up on the no salt. My Mom had congestive heart failure and we REALLY had to watch the salt in take. Just taking the salt shaker off the table and/or not adding to food wasn't enough. So we started reading lables and were surprised to read how much salt is in regular food....Bread has alot of salt, of course canned soup ( even the "lower sodium ones), cold cuts, hot dogs and cheese...even cereal.

The good news is look for "no salt" on some canned vegetables and Herb Ox has a buillion with only 5 miligrams of salt. Even ketchup has a no salt version now...If you buy canned tomatoes, check those lables too. They run from 290 miligrams of salt to less than 100, with Cento crushed tomatoes having only 20.

Hope you feel better. If the salt becomes a real problem, or if you ahve trouble finding salt free foods, pm me. I have a website where you can order all sorts of great food that is salt free.
oh no, you can't get down! Legs up dear and move those feet and ankles when elevated. I have a pesky problem with my right leg, ankle actually, but never to point of leaking or hurting.....that must be something!! Ask about support stockings.......hopefully just knee highs....but you'll have to get the swelling down first.

Could be just stress........glad your DH is home and healing this time.
Stress is the worst threat to health. There is good news, Richard is home and on the mend, which means you can focus on your health and recovery. Most women forget to think about themselves when times are difficult.

So cut it out and get better! :D
You should have gone in a long time ago :(
You need to take care of yourself! That swelling, progressing to oozing and now infections didn't happen overnight. :(
so sorry to hear about your health. happy richard is doing better. wow please take care of yourself.
you are right dawn, this has been going on for months. my feet and lower part of legs are knumb all the time. that makes it hard to walk. can't wait to have that feeling back. hope this vain dr can help.....
Please, please, please just take it easy until you see the doctor. My father-in-law and a dear friend's mother both had the leg swelling and oozing problem, both were diagnosed as congestive heart failure. Please keep us posted.

On the upside, so glad to hear Richard is home - now just make sure HE stays off his feet!
Glad that Richard is home and on the mend--NOW take care of yourself--thoughts and prayers for you both.
Glad Richard is home, such a relief for you.

Dawn is right, you REALLY need to look after yourself as your legs sound like they've gotten pretty bad. It took a while for them to get bad so give them time to get better by staying off your feet and keeping your legs up.
Do everything your doctors tell you, no cheating.
Take care of both of yourselves!! Glad Richard is home.
OMG! Oozing from water retention?!?!? I never heard of such a thing!

GOOD LUCK and I hope you heal up very quickly.
