It's Friday, so....

What are you all doing this weekend? Anything fun?
It's been a quiet afternoon, so let's liven it up!

I have Chewie entered in an obedience trial this weekend. I was hoping we weren't going to be too early, as it's 1.5 hours from home. Sure enough, the judging schedule came out and we start at 8:45 on Saturday and 8:30 on Sunday. 8O And, needing to account for traffic, weather, getting there early to get a crating spot and just settling in, I would have to get up at 0430! I also was planning on carpooling, but they show at 1:00 and 2:00 each day. :(

So, plan B! I am leaving after work (I work until 7) - stopping at home to get my stuff and Chewie and heading up to Mpls/ St Paul to stay at my friend Laura's house. She is 25 minutes from the show.

Then Saturday afternoon our basset rescue has a planning meeting for our biggest MN fundraiser - conveniently at Laura's house. Friends are coming from as far as Duluth, so we will have a great time!

And, there is the possibility that baby Norah will get to come home this weekend too!!! :D :D :D
At the very least, I will be able to go visit them, as the hospital is near the show. :D :D

Good Luck Chewie and Dawn!!!! I hope Baby Norah gets to come home this weekend :crossed:

Busy weekend for us....tonight we are celebrating our son Matt's 25th birthday (Mike is in New Zealand so we'll talk to him through Skype), my girlfriend's 50th birthday party is tomorrow night and then we have a "celebration of life" service to attend on Sunday for another friend's mother-in-law. Somewhere in between everything, we have Oakley and Sydney to walk and groom!

Hope everyone has a great weekend....hopefully it will warm up!
Oh, how exciting to know Norah may be coming home!! It'll be hard to concentrate on anything this weekend, but I do hope Chewie does well!!! :)

I'm sure I'll be doing some house cleaning. Joshee's second birthday is next Monday (18th), so we'll be celebrating that weekend. ...which also means the big leader Ron's bday is in a week too. I love any cake day!!!
Digging out from snow storm

Seeing how much agility equipment one can possibly set up indoors if one counts the teeter in the garage and the tunnel, table, 12 weaves, one jump and plank for 1rto contact training in the living room.

I should take pictures, really. It looks ridiculous. I wouldn't normally bother to set up a tunnel inside given what a no brainer that is for most dogs, but Dazz has been balking at tunnels at run-thrus. Of course, the minute I set it up the lot of them entered an infinite tunnel loop and ran through it till I could finally grab them and shoo them out of the room. Including Dazz. So much for that theory

Can you say stir crazy? :twitch:

Good luck this weekend, Dawn. :crossed: Hope the baby finally gets to come home, too.

Kristine
Good luck this weekend Dawn! Cross fingers Norah gets to come home. :crossed:
Barbara - busy for sure, but sounds fun. :D

Kristine - Chewie balked at the tunnel in class Tuesday - maybe something in the air? I was shocked!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I think we will need it!
Holding Baby Ryley and making Snow Angels with the little girls Saturday afternoon.

Max has a Vet's appt tomorrow morning to have his thyroid re-checked.

Sunday, a day of rest..... :)
Come on Chewie, not the time to be spooky! :crossed: for baby Norah.

Barbara, wow! My mind spins.........

Tomorrow for us is Met opera, Die Rosenkavalier, which shoots a giant hole in middle of day. Sunday hopefully I can escape church undetected as the lady in charge of taking down Christmas decorations hasn't and probably assumes since I did that for years, I'll help. Ha! Time for the younger women to step up!

We are just barely on the "warm" side of this storm.......just 30's, not -30's.......so hoping all of you in the freezer get relief SOON.

Well, what ever it is in the air, please keep it up there! José FINALLY went thru 5 feet of the tunnel Wed. night. Took severl attempts & a lot of coaxing but we finaly got him to come thru & then he went back & forth thru it about 4 more times! Much more gracefully I should say than his mother did trying to get up off the floor on her knees after coaxing him thru the tunnel!

Good luck Dawn & let us know how you do!

I'm at an all breed show with our special Fri. & Sat. And have our last holiday party at our house Sat. evening. Thank goodness for a helpful husband! :D
Lets see I did some school work tonight, on a Friday...does that mean I'm getting old? Tomorrow have to go to the recycling center, then take Obe for a hike, meet a friend, and I'm sure watch some football game at some point.

On Sunday grocery store, groom Obe and another hike and football again. All weekend I have do some work on my project for school that is due on Tues.

Good luck Dawn and Chewy!
Lee and I are driving my sister and my parents up to Portland and we are going to see Avatar at the IMAX theater. Then we are going to go to Ikea and Rejuvenations (home store for old houses) along with finding some place nice to eat. Should be a fun day away.
