Pup Selection

Hi all, brand new to the OES forums and I have a couple questions. :)

I was wondering what you do when you are looking for an OES but the breeder is long distance? How do you go about the selection of a pup from the litter? Pictures only?
Our Husky's breeder was a couple hours away but within driving distance, and our Maltese was local. So those two were easy.

Second, one breeder we are considering is Lambluv. I've searched the forum and saw great things but the more informative posts were 4-5 years old. Is there anyone here with recent Lambluv experience that can offer any info? I was also wondering how their pups compare to other OES breeders in terms of both personality and physical traits. I'm assuming that like other breeds, there can be a little bit of flux between breeders.

Thanks! :)

Lambluv has nice dogs-- quite a few people on the forum have Lambluv dogs. Most reputable breeders will place the pup for you, you really won't pick from the litter. You'll specify sex and they'll pick the pup that best matches your needs/lifestyle. In a way, it's so much easier that way because there's no hemming and hawing on your part of which one to get. You know you'll love it no matter what!
Oh wow, i did not know that. Makes sense though. Thanks!
I was at my breeder's house once a week for 8 weeks visiting the puppies and I didn't know which one I was getting until the day I went to pick him up! There were two that I liked the most but I wanted to show him so I knew it was going to come down to the most sound dog at 8 weeks. Luckily, it worked out really well. I ended up getting one of my favorites and my other favorite went to people that live really close to me (and they owned the pups' mom and grandma) so I get to see him all the time. It was a win win!
Oh, poor Bear, another pest in the house.

Congrats on the newbie.
Oh I have a Lambluv dog (my Miss Marley) I told Jere what I wante dot do witht he dog and she picked - I think I had a choice of two potential dogs, and got the one I didn't pick - but the one wh was actually the right dog for me.

A few people have gotten Lambluv's more recently who may have more to add - Marley is 4.
