I'm back- and I have missed a lot!

So- Merry Christmas- Happy New year-

No-- I haven't sent my cards out yet for those of you counting, but, I do appreciate all of the ones we received. I doubt that I participate next year... Just can't seem to get them out. Last year was John's fault-- this year- mine.

Where do I begin? First of all-- just caught the post about Dawn's new darling. Such a pretty name for a beautiful Baby! Glad everything is going well now.

Ravenmoomart-- Sounds like your Holiday was turned upside down at the last minute. Thank goodness for the OES cards, and the people that could send them-- made for wonderful Holiday decorations!!!

Jo--those kids are adorable. Jilly's first smile was adorable, and those two boys in the back of the van with the doggies-- LOL.

oesmommy-- Glad Richard got to come home for Christmas. What a scare!

There is so much more to comment on-- and I will get to everyone as soon as I can :)

We have had a whirlwind of a month...

Best to just give snippets--- or this post would be three miles long.

1) Broke the FIL out of the nursing home -- we brought him here and had 8 hours of fun and entertainment while we ate and just "visited". Then took a ride to see the lights. It was 10:00 before we got him back and settled in. There are stories to tell about the visit-- but that will come later. 12 around the table that day. That was round one.

2) Shop - cook- clean- decorate- Round two-- Christmas party for 30 friends. Fun was had by all.

3) Shop - cook- Round Three-- Christmas at Mom's. Fun was had by all.

4) Shop - cook- clean-- Round Four-- Dad and Sharon arrive from Florida for a week. Fun was had by all

5) Shop- cook - clean-- Round Five-- Christmas with John's Mom , Step- Dad, and one brother. Fun was had by some.

6) Shop- cook- clean-- Round Six-- Ashley ( who was bursting at the seems waiting for baby Ryley to come) and the little girls came to make Gingerbread houses. Fun was had by the little girls.

7) Shop- cook-clean--- Round Seven--- Christmas Morning breakfast at my Sisters, followed by a trip to the nursing home, back to our house to cook dinner for 10. Everyone left at 12:30 A.M. Don't know if fun was had by all-- too tired to tell.

8) Shop - Cook- Clean-- Round eight-- December 26th--- All my family here for Christmas with Dad and Sharon. Fun was begininng to waiver...
Although the guys seemed to enjoy playing poker until the wee hours of the morning...

9) Clean- Clean - Clean. Discovered that our Christmas tree stand was leaking water----- Clean - Clean- Clean. No fun at all here.

10) Dad and Sharon leave to go back to Florida on Monday. PEACE AND QUIET! Phone rings... Ashley is most likely to be induced because of high sugar... am I ready to watch the little girls? No more peace and quiet.

11) Tuesday. Seems like we jumped the gun-- They won't be inducing until Thursday at 4. But since I have the girls, and they are all settled in... I'll just keep them. Fun? At times.

12) Wednesday. Skyler and Alayna have the croup. We don't want Ashley around them, so Landon meets me at the Doctor's office. 3 hours and 4 meds later- we are on our way BACK to Marysville , with 2 sick little girls and one very tired Aunt Buckie. Uncle John is comatose by this time, but still manages to drive. No fun.

13) Up all night-- steam baths- crying- Not really fun-- but ready for the FUNNY FARM.

14) GiGi ( my Mom) to the resue. She and my sister come and help... What day is it? Who am I? Why is Max trying to run away from home with his little doggie suitcase packed with cheese and his thyroid pills??? Fun? I don't know, and at this point don't care.

15) Wait-- it's Thursday-- the big day! The girls perk up when we tell them Mommy and Daddy are going to the hospital so baby Ryley can be born.... The day drags on, and on, and on. They want to stay up to ring in the new year. They have noise makers, and 2010 glasses, and confetti ( Thank You Ashley) that Mommy has packed for them. No fun. No baby.
Midnight comes and goes.

16) At 1:00 a.m I begin getting text messages every 10 minutes from my brother "Pee-Paw" Ashley' s Dad . 5cm - 6cm- 7... will we ever get to 10 already, and -- just call when he is born. Kind of fun.

17) BABY NEW YEAR arrives, and is the first baby born in Clark County in 2010. His picture is on the front page of the paper-- 9.7 lbs, 21.5 inch baby Ryley is beautiful ... We are back to having fun again.

Pictures to follow as soon as they are approved.

OMG, Lori what a holiday!

Parts sound like ours, just mostly spent in the hospitals and missed all the family stuff. Even our skype plan was thwarted as the hospital server was down

I hope you took plenty of pictures so you can enjoy all this wonderful family time later, at your leisure! :D

My golly Dawn. As I read through all of your posts, I couldn't believe all that was happening! What a story you will have to tell Norah about her arrival. She is a precious little girl! Are the cousins thrilled???

Very much. As Norah's in the NICU and all the H1N1 precautions, no one under 18 is allowed to visit. And visitors outside of parents are limited 4.
Lisa has Norah "roomed in" in a wing for new moms and the babies in the NICU that are getting close to being ready to go home. We hope it may be as soon as this weekend! Our family Christmas is still on hold, waiting for Lisa and Norah.
C'mon now... that doesn't sound bad. Just hectic which is like any typical Christmas season w/family. Overall, mostly good things and good memories with a few throw-ins to make you SO thankful this only comes once a year. ;) Hopefully you have time to rest now that it's over.

Congrats on the new lo!!!!! What a precious baby from the pic in your profile and what a way to start out in life ...famous ;) Love the pics of the girls too esp. the one where one of them is sleeping :)
