Bachelor

Okay, there have to be people watching esp. since there's nothing else on tv!!!!

I know someone that commutes to work with him in Atlanta.

I heard one of the girls hooked up with a crew member while there.

I was so sick of him acting like an over emotional sap in the first hour. The whole "you know those rainy days, it's awful not to have someone to snuggle with all day..." Really? Wait until he realizes that's not what marriage is like to begin with ;) Either way, no wonder he's been single for so long.

I do think I'll like him more as the Bachelor than I did as a contestant because though he was a good guy, there was no connection with him last season. Another reason I was totally bummed about him being the Bachelor!!!!

I thought he booted off a few girls he should have kept and kept some girls he should have booted.

The previews for the season looked awesome. I'm looking forward to it, but again, hope we can fall in love with his personality because I'm not a girl who is getting off by the billion shots of his shirt off. Him on his bike didn't do anything either. Husband says they do the same thing with the girls (slow shots up and down them in the shower, etc), but I don't think "most" girls get off by the same thing.

I missed it last night. I don't know if I'll be on board this season or not. I hear he's kind of lame! But we'll see. I get sucked into worse shows than this...
I AM SUCKED IN !! BUT HE IS A BOZO
So the new thing coming out on Monday blew me away since it's with one of the girls I like!!! I won't talk about it more until Monday in case someone hates knowing things in advance, but it was Extra & Entertainment Tonight tonight.
I am watching this season. It is one of my guilty indulgences.

I think the producers deliberately choose as many crazy women as they can find.
Mrs J--so, what was it that blew you away? Which girl?

Okay, so I watched it last night for the first time. I might be hooked. He's pretty nice to look at.

And of course the producers choose the craziest women they can find. Normal women would be boring to watch (as much as the craziness drives me crazy)
I love it. He is the most exhausted, miserable looking Bachelor in Bachelor history. He seems so completely fatigued by all of their emotional jockeying and head games. I am so glad he sent Elizabeth and Michelle home. Those girls should watch the show with their therapists to understand themselves better. His batch is full of pretty girls but it is hard to see who are his good options. I like Ali the best but my friends all think she is very likely a b***h.

ha ha--he DOES look miserable! And he said several times that he wanted the night to be over, that it was too much and he needed to digest. Poor guy.

I hope he really likes that Southern mom b/c he brought her son to her. I hope he doesn't just dump her in the next episode.
A promo showed Tenley saying she was pregnant to the Bachelor but then cutting to a different scene ...leaving everyone hanging. Apparently after googling today, it was just used to draw people in for Monday's episode. Grrrr...

She did say she was pregnant but they cut out her saying "just joking" in the promo. Here is the full version which came out after what I saw.

I like looking at the guy but Mr. J and I figured out from last season ...the reason this good looking, VERY confident, successful (actually with what he flies right now which isn't the big commercial planes you see him "pictured in front of", he's not making much money at all ...coming from someone who actually works with him but anyway..) ...hasn't gotten married yet is he's a social moron. Girls are happy with him but I don't think he's good at reading them when it's time to move to the next step. He also isn't the guy you go to when you want to spill your guts b/c he doesn't know what to say. Another reason why he's so drained dealing with all these emotions (not that a normal REAL manly man shouldn't be).

I still like Ali and Tenley. My husband hates Vienna but thinks she may make it far.

I'm glad that weirdo Elizabeth got the boot.

I think there are 1-2 looney people they throw in there, but overall... I actually think the producers TRY to find a potential match for him with a few opposites thrown in b/c you never know where sparks may lie.
The Bachelor is becoming more and more of a bore. Good guy, glad he's decisive, but seriously... how do you not have much to say with people you don't even know?!?! He's a lot like the last Bachelorette in that when he isn't interested anymore, he makes it very apparent in his body language and lack of interest in talking, but he's not too much more exciting when he IS interested.

Ali needs to let girls dig their own graves because she's starting to get annoying with her obsession over Vienna.

My husband is still calling Vienna as the winner since in an interview he said "the outcome didn't turn out like everyone wanted it to." Plus the season with Lamas, she was very irritating to everyone BUT the Bachelor, and she won, so he sees similarities. It was the fact she was so different than him that drew him in but that obviously fades with time. She's too young for him imo.

I still like Tenley a lot but there's something about her that's starting to make me itch too (the way her mouth moves when she talks).

One of the girls has the longest head ever. ...coming from someone with the big head, but still... I'm not on tv to be tore apart like she is. :D
Totally agree with the comment regarding Ali. It is not her place to determine who is still around.

My first thought last night was that he kept Vienna around for ratings but now I am not so sure. She may be the one but if that is the case, all of the warnings he received should have told him something. He will deserve what he gets.

I wonder what he thought when he finally saw the comment she made in the first episode about wrecking five cars but it was okay because her dad would just buy her another one.
Hmmm, I don't know who I think the Bachelor will ultimately choose. I hope he chooses either Tenley or Ali, though. Vienna has got to go, and Gia is too whiney and insecure.

I cringed when Ali ran into the water with Jake while wearing those pretty suede boots!
I cringed too, but only b/c I was worried about her hair. lol I know nothing about shoes.

I dislike Ali now, and really like Tenley. I think Mr. J is right when he said Vienna will win though.

Here's the website of the chick who just got the boot.

Mr. J and I burst out in laughter when ol Ali was sobbing like a mug, wiped her nose then touched the Bachelor. You can SO tell when he immediately looked down what he was thinking.

This season S-T-I-N-K-S. Worse one yet. I've always enjoyed the visit home to meet their parents (Tenley had the most normal ones), but this one was so boring. The producers must tell them to take him somewhere very meaningful to you (visiting dead grandma). Just seems like you'd try to make more intimate moments instead of depressing ones.

/Ali hater

Oh, and who makes out at their parents house even after they realize what y'all are doing? Only classy Vienna.

All his choices aren't right for him despite Tenley being a good girl.
Am I the only one who likes Ali? Do you think she'll be back b/c of her phone call or was that just a teaser and she won't be back?
I liked her up to the point she got catty. Up to then, I thought she was great, but her face says female dog ...not as much as Vienna, but enough for my clueless husband to agree. I pray that whole act didn't win her a spot as the next bachelorette if she doesn't win this time around.

BTW, I have no idea. I assumed yes, but you've got me thinking now that you may be right about her just making a phone call!
Going off last night's episode and that only, I totally thought it was obvious Tenley and Vienna were the final 2.

Gia came off as someone not to intelligent. Sorry for those rooting for her, and it could be just age, but they really come from 2 different worlds. It's why I believe all they ever did is makeout. There was more of a sexual chemistry.

Mr J and I couldn't stop laughing when watching the date with Vienna. I think he's attracted to her because she's a "fun" girl. By fun, she can strike a good conversation with anyone and is the person who knows how to have fun anywhere she goes. She also strikes me off as a huge sl** which goes along with her easy going personality. Either way, when he started to ask her what kind of ring she liked, I immediately said "you do not ask that unless you're seriously looking to put a ring on a girl's hand. Then when she said "I'm falling in love with you" and he replied "Are you really?" ...he was as giggly as can be. Clearly reciprocating the feeling.

I feel things are more natural though and more down to earth with Tenley. Him also showing signs he's on cloud nine with her as well. I really like her, but I'm not sure she's ready "for marriage" after just being cheated on with her ex. She is clearly still getting over him. He makes a better match with Tenley.

I pray Ali is not the next Bachelorette.
I also hope that Ali is not the next Bachelorette. I don't know if I could watch any more of her. I liked her at first but then she starting getting on my nerves w/all of her complaining about Vienna.
I think Jake will end up w/Vienna. They have got so much chemistry. I don't think they will get married or if so it will not last. This has not been a typical season of The Bachelor. I really have not liked any of remaining girls that much.
I can't fault anyone for their feelings - he definitely had "chemistry" with Vienna. But being "hot" for someone doesn't necessarily make for a long term commitment. Especially with someone who appears to have been very pampered by Daddy and has displayed problems in the past getting along with the group. You can't just ignore her rubbing so many different people the wrong way.

I wish him luck - he is going to need it.
I agree.

I don't think it's bad he didn't choose Tenley, I mean you have to have chemistry and 'that feeling' and if he felt like something wasn't right then it's good he didn't choose her. I still don't see what he sees in Vienna. That he keeps saying she's 'sexy as hell' proves that different people CLEARLY have their own tastes.

And he (and his family and others) keep saying how young Vienna is and just needs to grow up a bit, but Tenley was only 2 years older than her, so it's not a huge difference. Just means Vienna is immature.

Seriously, good luck to him!
The below info isn't surprising AT ALL imo.

Quote:
Tenley Molzahn -- one of Bachelor Jake Pavelka's frontrunners -- won sympathy on the hit ABC show by saying that her 15-month marriage ended after her ex, Ryan Natividad, cheated. But the "alleged" other woman tells the new Us Weekly (on newsstands now) that Molzahn, 25, isn't "the sweet girl everyone thinks."

"She'd only allow sex once a week...and sometimes she withheld it," says Christina Latham, who is now engaged to Natividad and denies that he ever cheated on Tenley.

Vienna Girardi cheated on ex-husband Josh Riley and used his money for boob job.
“She took every bit of his money,” her former mother-in-law Gale told Us Weekly. “I know that boob job was the first thing she had done.”

There’s more, but Riley said during his 10-month relationship with Vienna, “she slept with one of my buddies I was deployed with … I’m 99 percent sure she cheated on me.”

Added Riley, “Marrying her was a mistake.”

What irritated me is the million times the host and Tenley repeated the same question.

So why didn't you choose Tenley?

Bachelor: Everything was there but the spark.

...but what did you mean by no spark?

Bachelor: Everything was there but the spark.

I was so surprised you didn't choose me after the night we had. Why?

Bachelor: Everything was there but the spark.

Do you think you cheated Vienna since you had so much passion for the both of us?

Bachelor: Everything was there but the spark.

UGHHHH!!!

I was upset that Ali was going to be the next because she isn't deserving and recycling is getting old, but now I am excited. If their other choice was Tenley, I'm glad they chose Ali. Describing Tenley as someone from Disney is accurate, which makes me think her selection would have to be very square men. That sounds boring.

I watched Kimmel and he said it best when talking to Ali and wanting to know if she doesn't go for looks, what was it about this current bachelor that she liked (insinuating he had no personality).

This was the most boring Bachelor ever. I was bored by the finale.

I cannot believe none of you started a thread about DWTS
Agreed--BORING--He was a goober! Thus--his choice!
This years final episode was the only time I've ever seen the show, is the guy crying constantly pretty normal? Based on what I saw I would have to run from him, wouldn't want the Kleenex bill!
I have a question for the folks who watch this show. Keeping in mind that I dont watch it myself (no TV reception currently! ), and that the one time I tried to get into it, a couple of years ago, the women on the show made want to reach through the screen and wring their necks (sorry Mrs J...I did try   )

But....I see all the hoopla about it, and something keeps bugging me. Do any of you find it a bit offensive, as married women, (if you are  ) that this show is supposed to conclude with the "contestants" getting engaged/married? 8O I mean, how can you want to marry someone who, only days/weeks before wasn't completely sure if he wanted to be with you, or one of a large number of other women?? Plus, was (going by some of what I read on this thread) kissing and making out on national TV with at least one or two of them! 8O

It wouldnt bother me, I think, if the hype was "At the end of the show, the Bachelor and the winning female contestant will now begin dating for real" rather that talk of engagement and marriage.

Ok, ok, I know its just entertainment  (ducks flying teacups) but Im curious if anyone else finds this idea disturbing.
Laurel, as a married woman I don't find it offensive. I find it sad and comical, though. And in the early seasons of the show, they really pretended to get engaged and then date afterwards, with the plan to get married. But almost every one of the broke up a few months later. So now in general it seems they end up saying the ring is more of a promise ring than an engagement ring (although this last one actually proposed).

I think because since so few of them have actually made it to the altar, I don't take the proposals very seriously, so therefore they don't offend me.
No, No... I totally found it disturbing. This btw is Mr. J's show (Because of all the hot ladies always in the hot tub) ...not mine. In fact, far from a show I enjoyed watching until a few seasons ago.

However, several seasons into it, the Bachelor said the ring was more of a promise ring. The promise to keep dating and to give it his all in hopes to get married one day. Once that trend was set, it pretty much continued with each season. Many don't ask for marriage like this one did.

Even with the [artificial] engagement, it really is still just a beginning to dating except they get to start in the comfortable stage instead of starting in the uncomfortable "does he like me" stage. As you've probably heard or read at the grocery store or on the news, only 1 couple has gotten married from this. It'll be 2 as of next week. 2 still dating [one of which is off and on].

That's hilarious J! Makes me wonder how much of a "men's" show as opposed to woman-viewer show this really is. :lmt: Here at the forum, everyone writing about it is female...but, then, the sheepdog forum is almost all women anyway! (yet another mystery of life that Ive wasted time contemplating  )
I think that everyone that watches "The Bachelor" knows that it is stupid. It is just impossible for me to not get sucked in. I'm on a tennis team which plays on Monday nights and we all have to rush home to see the show. The girls that do not keep up w/it just laugh at us. It is just one of those guilty pleasures! Ali drives me crazy but I'm sure that I will be watching it again next season.
They broke up. Bwahahahah...

http://www.people.com/people/article/0, ... 18,00.html
I know!! I was SOO surprised. Um, yeah. not so much. I'm pretty sure most of the couples are going to break up, but some seem a little more 'into it' than others and these 2 just didn't seem together AT all. I bet Ali is now laughing her !@# off.
Well, I thought that too, but I don't see her working out with any of the picks she has! I know she thinks so, but I'm already calling failure. This has to be the most boring season ever. I thought I'd grow to love her, but she still seems like the wrong pick for Bachelorette. I know you like her <sorry> ...but I keep trying, and she just doesn't impress me or Mr. J.

I love how she continues to say in every episode how she gave up EVERYTHING just to find love. Really? You had a tiny apt and a job that you were already willing to give up in the last season by coming back "if" Jake wanted you. In this, you will gain money than you ever had, tons of publicity, a spot on dancing with the stars, and bank big if you get married.
SOOOO sick of all the Jake/Vienna break up stuff. They're all acting like this is the first Bachelor couple to break up. I can't believe he's on the cover of People right now. He seems cheesy and gross and she's just gross.
Did you hear something about the bachelor pad? I heard through my husband, so sorry if I have the name of the show wrong ...my husband doesn't get details correct. :? contestants from all the seasons in one house? airing in august?

I am so pumped for that one. They always say whenever there is a weekend get together ...there are so many hookups, so an entire season? I'm just surprised one of the main networks would air it since it SEEMS like it would be more of a vh1/E! type of show imo!!!
Yeah, it's called Bachelor Pad and I heard he's going to be on it. I don't know much else about it, but I'm sure it'll be good, trashy fun!
