What do your dogs do all day?

Just wondering if my dogs are bored or if there is something else I could be doing with them! What do you do with your dogs all day? How much rest/ sleeping time do they get? Play time?

gosh I am pretty sure mine sleep all day and they are usually upset with me if I stay up past bed time.
As far as I can tell, they sleep and get the couch dirty. That seems to be about it.
I'm not sure, but I think there are cards and neighbor dogs involved. Looks innocent enough when I get home...BUT I KNOW they were up to something.
On the couple of days a week I'm not home I suspect they do what the same as when I am home.

SLEEP!!! :D
Stare at the door that I left thru! That's what they are doing when I leave & when I get home! Like they are afraid they are going to miss my coming back home if not!
I've never had dogs that did anything but sleep when we're gone. They can't even chew on a bone b/c they're so consumed w/being lazy. Well one does chew on her butt but that's because she's got some anxiety ...and maybe an obsession for dirty butt?
My dogs are very buzy doing nothing most of the day. After they have breakfast they become Stimulated and the two Aussie usually play with each other for a while. Of course, Asia is waiting for Pearl is finish eating her breakfast, so Asia can grab Pearl's "ktty can" and lick the remains. Violet has usually barked her fill and probably choked a few times on her kibble. All three check me out to see what I'm doing and usually find a place to sleep off their meal. They will be out for hours, unless we need to go out in the Van for a trip, they jump up in action immediatly. Amazing how they go from a dead sleep to total wake and barking at the door.
After they've had their morning nap, they then usually go outside for a bit. Wonder the backyard and check out the property line. They nap off and on and bark at anything that gets with in "whiffing" distance of the house. We take a walk or go out and play in the yard for a bit. Most of the afternoon they take "cat" naps. After they have their dinner, They then go through similar to the morning, but also play with daddy. They stay more alert until bedtime. They go in the bedroom or bathroom and pass out for the night. If I stay up past my regular bedtime, they still go into the bedroom and go to sleep. :)
Barney sleeps. ALL DAY LONG. I just had a few days off for the holidays and he seemed pretty annoyed with us that we were there to disrupt his sleep. He also snores all day.
sleeps and paces from one cool spot to the next....
We joke about this at home. Tuesday is yoga day, then gymnastics for our Lucy on Wednesday while Oliver just watches the girls in the class, Thursday is taco day, and Friday is swimming. Some nights they just seem so tired, and I just don't get it because I know they slept on the spare bed all day!

sleep blessedly sleep -
dreamer and duffy hang outside of couse dreamer just dreams his day away.. with the cool weather in fla right now i can't get tthem to come in
Mine are outside when I'm gone....it's why we moved here. Granted, they sleep a lot, but also watch the traffic, run the fence, bark at the neighbor dogs and horses, etc. They are not sound asleep as I can't drive up and find 4 sleeping dogs, somebody is alert. Car shape or sound, they know I'm coming. More when they were younger and could see and hear better......I'd be several hundred feet from the far fence and they'd know. Not so much anymore.
they are still puppies - eat, play, play, play, nap, play, play, go for a walk, play, nap, play, play, play, eat, play, play, jump on me on the couch, watch tv, play, sleep
I'm pretty confident that Asterisk is sleeping in the basement, outside the cat room. Wendel is sleeping in front of my love seat. Wendel is busy patrolling the house for scraps of food that Josh left out.
sleeping, sleeping and more sleeping. They sleep in various spots thoughout the house, the couch is a favorite, under the dining room table is another good spot, mom's bed with Grandma is Taggs afternoon nap spot, the tiled bathroom floor for Daisy and Kiera is usually in the way. While I was home over the holidays, I got my exercise in by walking over the grey and white fur lumps on my floor.

The only excitement my trio seem to get is when Magenta, my home health work comes to change mom and fix her breakfast or a snack in the afternoon. They all get up to "greet" her and then Taggart seems to think that Magenta is his own personal attendant, if she sits down, he decides to lounge upon her.... all too funny.

And mine too get a little pissy if you don't go to bed when they expect you to... Like when they are ready for nighty nights...
Ha ha!! I have to laugh at the bed time! My two know EXACTLY when bed time is and they run to the door and wait! I joke with my husband that we ahve a built in curfew!

I guess mine act like they're supposed to! The sleep a few hours in the AM...Grampa walks them around 11 am. I come home for lunch at about 12"30 and we do our pooping and run free out side for about half and hour. Then its back to sleeping...I get home about 4 and its back outside, some obedience, some running some fetch...then back in for dinner...then rest after dinner and then some long stay exercises, light obedience and bedtime! Boring to me but I guess they like it! Weeekends have more play time built it...I wish to come back in my next life as MY doggys!
Max has a nap before his bedtime!

Matisse: Runs around like a bat out of hell for an hour in the morning before he eats, then conks out on the kitchen floor for about an hour. Gets up ONLY to find a colder spot on the floor but snoozes most of the day until dinner...then walk, then bed time.

Cozette: Chases Matisse running around like a bat out of hell for an hour in the morning until she eats. Runs to find me as soon as she's done, and that's where she stays at all times during the course of the day. Whatever room I'm in, she has to be next to me at all times.

If I leave the house for about an hour or so, Cozette is by the front door and Matisse is sleeping in the same spot where I left him....
