Not sure if my link is working, I added pics here but they're still pending approval.
Here is the link -- just need to delete the [/img] part. Very cute puppy.

Do you think he looks like he might be part OES? He's from the pound, so we're trying to guess what he is...
I'd say a border collie mix
My monitor show pics really dark :( so I can't see the head in too much detail. How old is he?

My 1st thought is border collie too - but age and coat and head shape (that I can't really see) would help.

How about a whole body shot?

Whatever he is, he looks adorable!
My first thought was BC mix.
But s/he has a short snout. Age will help.
Here are some other pictures.

His name is Hank, and he is 12 weeks old. The vet said he may have some Border Collie in him, but that his fur and body are not BC. He's built like a bear with pretty long hair. The hair also doesn't seem to repel water like my malamute mix, it just gets wet and hangs down more like human hair. His hair on the outside is dark, but inside near the skin its grey.

I adore him whatever he is, I'm just curious and I'd like learn more about his breeds temperament. So far he's been really calm.

Thanks!

He does look sheepyish in that last photo.
I also tend to lean towards Border Collie, too. He has that 'scissor' snout that is pretty common in the collie breeds.

If you ever wanted to spend the money, you could get one of those breed DNA kits. He sure is cute though!
That's the problems with puppies, so many of them look so similar, but week by week their bone structure starts forming.

My first guess is Border, but no matter, it's one cute pup and I can see why you are in love.
He is a cutie! :D I agree that he looks like he has BC--his face and nose look like BC--his coat does look somewhat like a 'sheepie puppy coat. It will be interesting to see how he changes as he grows.
The coat is thick for a BC, how big is the pup? Maybe some newf or something mixed in? Adorable anyway :)
My guess is part Border Collie and alot of Bearded Collie I had a pup that was very much like that, she was Bearded Collie the coat is different than true sheepdog Just a guess!
:) beautiful whatever the little darling is!

Here is another pic of him, he was really sick when I first got him, and he is finally feeling and looking better.

I was able to talk to the humane society again, to get a little more info. It looks like you were all right!! He is listed as a OES/Border Collie mix.

Now it's just a matter of which dog he gets more of when he's older, I guess only time will tell!!

Thanks for the imput!!
If he comes out like Harry, right side dog on avatar, he'll be one heck of a ??? A smarter, sweeter, slightly mischievous, loyal guardian you'll never meet.

Harry was an OESx as listed from the shelter. I'm not sure he hs any OES, but what the heck.
In those last 2 pictures you posted he looks very OES. What a cutie! He should be a real fun dog for you :D
He seems to be getting furrier. In just the last week, since he's been feeling better, I think he's grown like 3 inches taller! and gotten really hairy. He even has long hair inside his ears!

So far he seems to be really smart, may he's got the brain of the Border Collie- He hasn't had an accident since last weekend and asks to go out by whining at the door and "sits" like a champ!

Of course, I am a biased dog mom, I'm sure we all think our own pets are smarter than everyone else's. :)
He has such a cute face from the pic of him looking over your shoulder. :aww:
Have fun together. :D
