My 11 year old chihuahua just had pyrometra surgery at 3am
Kiwi was to the animal hospital Christmas eve because she was not acting right. I paid 140.00 to be told she was fine. I was initially relieved until she kept sleeping; was lethargic; had excessive thirst and urination and starting bleeding at midnight 3 days later at 12am this morning. We rushed her back to the animal hospital to be told she pyrometra and to either pay 4300.00 up front or have her put to sleep. Kiwi has a heart problem ; I was told she had a 50 percent chance of making it through the surgery and most likely would face heart failure. She is my heart. I couldn't bear to not give her the chance to live. She had the surgery and is currently in ICU. I pray she will recover. I never had her spayed because my friend had her chihuahua spayed and she died from the anesthesia due to her small size. Now; I wish I had had her spayed as a baby. My heart goes out to everyone. |

| I hope she recovers. I never had my first tiny yorkie speyed she was just too small, and then she had heart problems as well. Let us know how she is you can only do your best for your little pet. xxx |
