close shave is itchy

Frankie went to the groomer on Christmas eve. I asked them to clean up his privates and his butt. Now he is constantly licking himself. Is there something you would recommend for me to put on him to help the itch?

Thanks

Sometimes the groomers go a bit too close to the skin and cause a little burn. It hurts and is itchy. I've used some bactracin in the area if it looks really red. But if its in a spot they can lick, well, better to let it go a night or two, maybe some bag balm lotion for soothing. Don't put anything on it that may burn like alcohol or antiseptic with alcohol. If its really really bad, you might want to use a E collar to keep from licking so it can heal up. But usually, unless really badly razored burned, it should be okay in a day or so.
Thanks

It doesn't seem red, it must just be a little itchy...

Try sprinkling some Gold Bond Powder on the area. If you can find the medicated in the green plastic container that's even better. If you can't find either of those, try some baby powder with aloe. These will cool down the irritated area & they don't taste very good either so when they lick it they tend to not bother with it anymore since it leaves a bad taste in their mouth.
what about some aloe vera, sooths and calms delicate sore spots, natural.....
