Hair inside dog's eye

I just noticed that there's one strand of hair inside my dog's eye. It's his own hair. I tried wiping his eye with a cotton ball dipped in mineral water(since I have no saline solution with me at the moment) but he won't let me wipe it. I can't call the vet now because it's 11:44pm here. Should I leave it there for now? I don't know what to do.

I used to find his hair in my eyes too and I used to wash my eyes to get it out and I know it feels very irritating with that hair in my eye.

He is not showing any signs of feeling irritation in his eye.
I'd say if it doesn't bother him, leave it alone. It will work its way out as he blinks, or as his eye makes excretions.
It will work it's way out. I just stroke Ru's face & he lets me gently wipe the hair with my finger, but some people are grossed out with touching eyeballs. I used to be a contact lens wearer and I think if your finger is CLEAN and you are very gentle, then it's OK to do that.
Clean is the most important thing if your going near the eye. Make sure you wash your hands with a good anti-microbial hand soap before attempting to remove a hair, or put drops or ointment into the eyes.
