Its snowing

I want some warm weather. I want green grass. I want flowers.

My list for Santa is long and somehow I don't think I'm going to get what I want. Sad Sad Sad!!!

welcome to my world......that fat guy never brings me what I ask for
We had snowflakes yesterday, but they didn't last long. It did look pretty covering the grass though.
And we are expecting some more tomorrow - maybe.

The Dallas area rarely gets snow. Our roads are not designed to handle it and our drivers certainly aren't!
Can't wait to see if Houston actually gets snow.
I want some snow. Either that or I want it to get warm. I am tired of being cold but I wouldn't mind one day of snow to build something creative.
I will gladly send you some sunshine if you'll send me some snow
We are getting our first actual blizzard of the year. 40 mph winds and calling for 6 to 8 inches of snow and its a balmy -20. Wood stove is stoked up and new batteries in all the flash lights. Even the dogs don't want to go outside..lol
Who said they wanted snow?
Ugh.... We are in the middle of a Winter Wonderland here...as in: I wonder if we can make it out of the driveway in the morning?...I wonder when the plow guy will show up?...I wonder how much snow the sheepies can manage to drag in with them from the yard
Keep it over there can you?

It has finally stopped raining and we have had a clear night with nice crunchy grass this morning.

That yeucky snow stuff, you can keep (I work 40 miles from home and can do without the grief)
I WANTED TO MAKE THE SAME THREAD!!

There are some schools out already and it isn't even snowing here yet!!! We have a 70% chance to get a dusting.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!
What makes no sense to me is, several pre-k's are getting early dismissal and coming home at 9:30 ....school hasn't started yet AND they go to school at 8:30. Is that really worth it?

The local news said everyone was stocking up on cold winter supplies. The end is near...

I was driving through Dallas many years ago in AM rush hour. There was some freezing rain and honestly I've never seen such bad driving, crashes everywhere 8O . Even worse I was in Mill Valley (CA) and they had very light snow flurries, people were pulling off the road to wait it out :D :D
I live in Northern Alberta, if you can't drive with snow you get to stay home 6 month of the year...lol
Time to fire up the old Suburban 4x4 and motor on.
Dogs had a great snow play time this morning, still snowing but wind has let up.
Does anyone know of a way to get their dog to leave the snow outside? Samson brought me a snowball. lol
I'm so excited. It's all I'll get in the next probably 5 yrs, so we'll be making snow angels in our dust by dinner time ;)

My SIL got 8" in el paso last week. I can dream...

This is where the greatest snow will likely fall with moderate to at times heavy snow banding favored along US 59. Expect everything to go over the snow by noon and then begin to accumulate by early to mid afternoon. Rates may approach 1” under the meso scale banding reducing visibilities down to 1/8 or ΒΌ of a mile. Widespread accumulations of 2-4” is likely with isolated totals of 6” possible under meso scale bands. Significant impacts to travel are likely both on the ground and in the air.

Add to that chipped chopped ham! I used to work in a grocery store. The minute a winter storm was announced people rushed in & bought 10 gallons of milk, 10 loaves of bread & 5 pounds of chipped chopped ham!. Like they were never going to get out to the store for weeks! I live in the midwest. We have all kinds of snow removal equipment! Generally within a few hours the streets are clear enough to get where you have to go & that includes for the delivery trucks.
We got a couple inches yesterday - the light fluffy sparkly stuff. :D
I hope there still is some around (not all blown away out in the country with our winds) Saturday morning for me to take our Christmas pictures!

Figures we get a pretty snow when I am at work 7am - 7pm for days - go to work in the dark, come home in the dark! :(
We had snow yesterday, it all blew away. This a.m. is it all of 1 degree...whoooopie! Poor dogs will have to go out early today, the porch pillows will be occupied.

Mrs. J, snow again in Houston?? Two years in a row? Stay indoors, the natives are dangerous.
That global warming is hitting us now, I guess.

It's snowing a lot now. Hit earlier than they expected (noon they said). I'm smiling from ear to ear although my son goes to school very far away now, so him on the roads with idiots doesn't make me happy (wasn't one of the schools closing).
