Hope all had a great Thanksgiving.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We didnt, my husband had a masif heart attack. He was life watched(med Chopper) to a place 4 hours from us so I had to drive the 4 hours alone worried sick if I would even have a husband when I got there. He had a stint put in and has to go back in two weeks to have another one put in.
I am so proud of Walter, how a 12 week old puppy could know something was wrong is beyound me but he did. I went to the store and Mark called me on my cell to have me pick up some tums or something cause he had really bad heart burn. I said ok. He told me on the phone Walter keeps pulling on his pant leg and not letting him walk. I he wants to play, Mark said no cause he got on the floor with him to play and Walter just layed beside him and licked his face I just laughed. We hung up a few min later the phone rang again and it was Mark I couldnt understand a word he said. I thought he had a stroke. I went right home and found Mark on the floor with Walter sitting right by his head with one paw on his head like he was checking for a temp. I ran over Mark was gray I called 911 and started cpr. We got him to the hospital they couldnt get him stabilzed and called for life watch.
Mark told me when he could talk Walter wanted him on the floor when he tried to get up Walter would lay on his feet. So Mark would lay down again Walter would get off his feet. Then the heart attack hit. He said Walter cried but never left his side. I told him He was by his side when I found him.
I am so very very greatful that my husband is alive and Walter knew some how to get him on the floor so he wouldnt fall, and hurt himself even more. God was with my husband so doubt about that. The Dr said Mark had a angle cause by all rights he should be dead.

Oh Laura, I'm so sorry for you and your husband!
Thanks goodness Mark had his phone and could call for help.
And Walter - what a sweet puppy. :hearts: That is so wonderful -he knew something was wrong.

I hope Mark continues on his recovery and Walter gets lots of TLC. Will they let him in to see Mark? I bet the staff would love to meet Walter!
