favorite toys

So we can spend tons and tons of money on all these cool dog toys BUT Lucky will gladly play with any old ball instead!!! He flips over balls. My kids try to play basket ball and he literally gets it from them and carries this HUGE basket ball in his mouth. Granted he can only hold one of those for a minute or so, unlike the smaller soccer balls which he never ever lets go of!

What's your sheepies favorite toy???

Both of my dogs aren't picky. If you can throw it and you don't mind them chewing it up ...it's their favorite.

With that said, MY favorite toy for them to have would be one that lasts several months. I love the nylabone line of tuff chews (bone lasts forever!) as well as the Galileo dog chew souper.

Heart's favorite Sheepie Stuffie...she lays on her tuffet and sucks the nose!!!!!

OMG if you ever can get a picture of that I would LOVE to see it. How CUTE does that sound?????[/quote]
Tiggy's favorite toy is .................................... "the cat"

He runs so she can chase him, sometimes he even gets away. :D

He wrestles and bites her leg when she catches him. She just stands and stares at him 'cause she cant feel a thing through all the leg coat. Very frustrating for the cat.

She tries to lick his ears off and he howls and yowls about it. Nothing better than a good reaction to your best efforts.

He drops cat biscuits and other goodies off the bench. Yum, yum.

He opens the pantry door and knocks food off the top shelves. Extra yum, yum!!

The perfect toy in Tiggys opinion. :D
Bally loves plastic containers, buckets, ice cream tubs... anything that he can roll around with his paws and hold in his mouth so it covers his nose and he can't see where he's running

I don't know why, we try to keep them away from him but he's already stolen 5 buckets and has now taken to tipping my mum's plants out of their plastic pots and stealing those too when we visit.

Oh, and birds and moths

Toilet Paper!
Ru loves his ball more than any other toy. He knows the words 'play' and 'ball' so we have to spell them if we don't want him to get excited. From his box of toys, he always chooses the ball.

The only toy that Wendel has ever really loved has been a latex loofa dog. He will bite at it's rear till he can puncture a hole into it till it stops squeeking. After that, he loses interested. But it has to be purple, he doesn't seem to enjoy any other colors, very weird for a color-blind dog.

Asterisk's favorite toy is a braided felt tug toy. She'll pull it out of her box and beg you to play.
Ben's favorite toy was a rubber 4 inch soccer ball. We gave it to him as a pup and he never tore it up. Woe to anyone else who tried to play with it.

Bailey loves soccer balls. From the size 2 juggling ball to the size 4 regulation ball, she claims them all. And she is a soccer star - best defender of the ball ever.

Riley loves stuffies. She has 5 different sheep that she will carry around. We have to be careful that she doesn't take them out when she potties.
Mo used to love the rope pulls, but for the last........10 years.........she has no interest in it. I do it out, show it to her, she takes it and carries it about 3 feet and drops it then walks away.
I am my Sheepdog's favourite toy. ;-p LOL
The two little nitwitts just play with each other. Every now and then, Caly likes her 'baby' which is whatever sheep laying around that goes BAAAAA
Checker's doesn't care.....

Dee has a monkey/Gorillla. She shared this 'monkey man' with Duncan. She sucks the back of his head. No one else is allwed to touch that monkey man. And they wont touch any other toys.

I wonder why some dogs play with toys, and others dont? I have this TRUNK full of old toys........ I just don't remember the last dog we had that really wanted to play with a toy............. well BELLA would go rout around in it and she knew what toy she wanted, but that was as far as it went. She'd just go sit down with it.
Bert loves his glasses.

Mr. Bill. Yes, I said Mr. Bill.

Loki has a plush Mr. Bill dog toy that does say 'Oh nooooooooo' when you press on his belly. He also has a talking monkey, cow, koala and goldfish - They all make realistic sounds (The monkey is particularly annoying when it starts screeching 8O) He doesn't chew or rip the plushies - When they 'talk' he just picks them up gently and 'nibbles' on them until they're quiet. He actually nibbles the same way on my Lhasa Poo and she loves it.

He goes through a Bill once every couple of months - He just nibbles until they wear out. Therefore, I have Bills in reserve: I bought out my local PetSmart and snagged the last two on Amazon.com. We currently have 3 Bills and an extra koala in reserve, and nibbling on the plush does wonders for his teeth - The vet says not a speck of tartar.
What is the name of the lady who is called the queen of cakes?

I think those are her glasses!
Both my girls LOVE cat toys! they find these tiny little mouse toys that my cats have left out, and they walk around the house with them in thier mouths. Then they'll sit somewhere quiet, and toss it to themselves. Its the FUNNIEST thing. They toss it in the air and catch it again. toss it 2 feet away and then lunge and jump on it, like it was getting away. They've never swallowed, destroyed or eaten a cat toy, so I think its safe enough.

In addition to the cat's toys, Tonks loves playing with balls and Luna has a plush sheep that she LOVES. She carries it around the house, showing it to everyone. And she'll play tug with it with Tonks. I've even seen her give her sheep to the cat, and then take a cat toy from the cat's bed. Even more impressive, back when we had the baby gates separating the cats and dogs, I witnessed the cat get the sheep (which has to be 1/2 my cats size) drag it back through the baby gate and haul it up on the bed. She then went back and dropped a little mouse toy through the gate for the dogs to collect later. Amazing.
Some of these dog's favorite toys are hilarious - I am partial to the bucket as the toy of choice.

Harry loves playing tug with the rubber ring. It is the first thing he pulls out when his brothers are in town. But he is really good about playing by himself with all of his toys.
Dutch's favorite thing is any book that I was reading and have set down for a moment along with her teddy that she got when we brought her home at 8 weeks (she's now 3 years), she sucks on the nose every night at bedtime , the nose is getting a bit messy but the rest is in great condition

I wish!!

I used to buy those little mice for Rowdy and he loves them, but he cant resist bringing them through the baby gate and Tiggy pounces on them immediately and eats them.

Even when I've tried locking Rowdy and his mouse up the other end of the house Tiggy knows he has a mouse and waits for the door to open so she can swoop in and steal the mouse. I'm worried she'll obstruct on the darn things and besides I was replacing the mouse 5 times a day so Rowdy misses out now.

Tiggy quite likes to pounce on a ball as if its one of those mice too. :D

This is Earl ( the dead cat) he came with a book about 20 years ago 101 uses for a dead cat (sorry cat lovers) He even had tire tracks across his back. Earl is now missing a few appendages, but we are always sewing them back on. He has been through the wash about 50 times and still holding up!

Daphne likes anything that the any of the kitties are playing with. She will chase a ribbon or a ball of yarn just like a cat. She also loves all of her chew toys and leaves them all over the house!

Val...that is TOOO funny!! Cozette does the exact same thing with her 2 year old purple teddy bear. She sucks on the nubby tail. We put it in the wash like 15 times and it's still holding up -

Matisse loves to play 1-2-3 "CATCH" with mini rubber kickballs, but they last about 20 minutes so uh, he has quite a few with punctures in them.....
Frankie also has a stuffed animal that he sucks on the nose. It's a flat stuffed zebra we call Zeebie. It gets washed once a week the nose gets so dirty and wet. He has had it since we brought him home.
He also loves his basketballs for outside, his bully sticks all of his kong toys and he has 2 squeeky alligators he loves to play squeak and fetch with.
