Langley almost lost his equipment AGAIN!

Ha the first time he was in the garage it is two stories and he went sliding down on his belly all I could think about was his bits. He was fine

Well yesterday at fly ball before class he was taking a pee and one of the students brought her new adopted border collie over to meet him. He was pretty much fresh out of the spca and has socialized much. Langley probably isn't the best to do that with. His dog manners are very let's say bouncy.

Needless to say the other dogs snapped at him. Which really doesn't phase Langley  anyways I pulled him off to go to class saying it was fine Langley is just as much to blame with is over excitement.

So they allowed this new guy to go through the jumps (he isn't part of the class their other dog is) well he gets to the end and fly up the the gym straight for Langley. I managed to get my foot and push the other dog away in time. But he was going right for Langley's privates! I could believe it. Does this seem abnormal to zone in so much on a dog. This isn't the first time he seems to get picked on even when he is not even close to the other dog. Is it his bounciness or the fact he is still intact? WEIRD!

well you said Langley acted innapproapriately and that started it. I don't know if the zoning in is innapropriate - we are still trying to break Beowulf of that habit (and he is going to be 2 in January)

While Morgan does his best to try to discipline him - its hard with a dog that outweighs you by 40 pounds or so. (so far Morg is winning and B still backs down)

Honestly I would be less concerned about the other dogs behavior and more about Langley's, fly ball is a very high energy environment in which to take a dog with little self control.
This happened outside of class when the other dog snapped at Langley. When we are in class Langley actually doesn't take off towards other dogs. But I do realize he does go overboard with his greetings. We are working on that.

Are you saying he shouldn't be in flyball??
No
