Barney just was shaved...and has lots more spots?

Is it normal for dogs to get more skin spots as they get older?

Most of Barney's skin under his gray fur is black/dark and most of it under the white fur is pink. He has some dark spots on the pink parts and we just had him shaved today and he has a lot more spots than he used to. These aren't wound/sores or anything. Just pigment.

I believe one of my mentors told me that once. Same with the nails; they'll turn more black with age as well.
Lisa told me they continue to get more pigment as they age.
yes - totally normal for OES, and most other breeds too.
Thanks! Good to know. I thought he was morphing into a dalmation.

You are SUCH a good student! :cheer:

Yes, this is true. The older they get, the more black spots they get. Same with the nails turning darker.
