Midnight Picnic?

well my girls got into their first bit of mischief together last night. I heard what sounded like a plastic bag downstairs so I got up out of bed and went down to the front hallway. Maggie and Molly looked at me as if to say "what" "what did we do" and there on the floor was my sons school bag. Maggie and Molly had managed to nudge the zipper open enough to take out his lunch that he did not eat at school and they managed to mow down on cookies, a ham sandwich, a muffin and some carrots - all of it - gone! just the empty bags sitting on the floor.

Too funny - and of course this morning I questioned my son on why he didnt eat the lunch I gave him - and told him what happened and his response was "at least it got eaten!"

GREAT response. I'm guessing he's about 12.
I can just picture that! When my son was small we would have him bring the remains of his lunch home to share with Flash. He never caught on that was how we knew if he was eating anything
That sounds like their sisters....lol.....
What a good idea bestdogsx4, I hadn't thought of that, and I just hate it when sometimes I wonder maybe I should give them more sandwhiches or more snacks, and then find that half of it is wasted. At least if they would tell me everyday instead of hiding it I could find out if they would enjoy a different lunch more, or at the very least avoid the garbage mixed with smelly running shoes odor that grows in those backpacks LOL
I think it's a good idea too. They may not catch on as quick to that as they did with the "wetting the toothbrush" or "wetting the soap" trick!
The lunch thing was my husband's idea and I thought it was pretty smart.
