That is pretty crazy!! - and I even get "real" haircuts, unlike the above poster.....
If they don't want me to poop, why do they put me in that special chair, pump me up violently, give me toilet paper around my neck and run the water in the sink?

I mean come on, people!
What kind of haircuts does Kristine get? 8O
Ah I know unreal ones.

Well, I happen to think I'm a MUCH closer approximation to that comparison since I hop up on a grooming table for Sunny to trim my hair and - unlike Ron, apparently - I do none of the things above. Though I may have threatened to bite her on a couple of occasions...

Mim, it's a touchy subject with SOME apparently  , but when Sunny AKA Lucali is done trimming my dogs, I sometimes have her trim my hair. She's the only person I trust

Not unlike petgroomers who often send peoples' dogs home much more naked than they had hoped I've found that many human hairdressers see my hair and think I won't notice if they chop off an extra foot or so. And they always want to get creative. I follow the OES breed standard for showing purposes and refuse to put foreign substances in my hair or alter the natural outline in any substantial way.

Yeah, it's kind of boring, but it saves me regularly scheduled nervous breakdowns. And it's very inexpensive and usually just costs me lunch. I do pay more for my dogs' haircuts, usually involving getting her scissors sharpened and trading her for agility jumps. Speaking of, I still owe her a triple for trimming Macy up at the show where I finished her. She trimmed my hair as well and I'm SURE we BOTH had an impact on the judge thanks to her exquisite scissoring skills and that he was equally impressed by Macy and my strict adherence to the "no crap in the coat" policy :sidestep:

Hey Kristine I had noticed that you had long hair, but not that long.

I have long hair too, but not that long.

I have a trusted hairdresser who will take 1cm off when I ask her (she asks if I want my "waste of time" haircut) but I only do that every 3rd or 4th visit.
Otherwise I get a colour (I'm taking after my Dad and Tiggy :D and going grey) and that's it most visits.

Many years ago I foolishly allowed a hairdresser to cut a fringe for me. And now I'm stuck with it as its too hard to grow out and I've gotten used to the shape of my face with a fringe and dont like it without.

I found haircuts to be a traumatic experience too. DH came home once and found me in bed with my head under the pillow. I was contemplating staying there for the 6 weeks it takes a bad haircut to become an OK haircut. :( I have the most enormous cowlick in the front and sides so when my hair is short it does weird things that the hairdresser never intended. 8O Think Sally Fields flying nun! Kind of hairy wings on each side of my head, VERY bad look.

I'm with you and wish I could skip the hairdresser it costs a bomb and wastes half a day every time I go. I'd rather be annoying Tiggy and grooming her than put up with grooming me. I guess I should have more sympathy for Tig's dislike of the grooming table.
I loved that! Can you imagine if our hairdressers DID wash our butts? Talk about having a close relationship with them.
That was absolutely hilarious, good to be a guy sometimes...lol My wife gets a little rilled up over hair cuts too, always thought it was a red head thing..lol
