rescue dog (still) seeking performance home

Single gray and white female, age 2 (in a couple of weeks) is still seeking funloving, active, working home with good ear drums, a good sense of humor, endless patience and a desire to compete at a very competitive level in agility (preferably) in the upper Midwest. Approximate 23" at the withers and maybe 50-55 lbs. Easily jumps 24" which will probably be her AKC jump height. Could do USDAA @ 26" as well.

An income sufficient enough to keep her in tennis and other balls and the energy to throw them for her for hours on end a plus. No known health issues. Significant number of mental issues. Most of which can be overcome or are managable. IQ in the genius range. Suggested ILP/PAL registration name: It's All About ME!

Couch potatoes need not apply.

Daphne, I love that photo of you!!! You look simply gorgeous in it.
You need to get the photographer out and about with you more often. :D

Good luck in your search for a new house, I agree you could do with more space. And I hope you find a new personal trainer who can challenge you more, its sounds like you're getting a little stale at the moment.
Maybe she should have gone out to ND with us and tried out for the sled dog team????
Well, that would help take the edge off of her, but she still needs the mental exercise. If she's still here this winter   she can go skiing wirth us. Though with 4 dogs who could benefit I probably should seriously look into a sled. Skis plus these four is probably too dangerous. What am I looking for again? And do people some time sell them used?

Good source for used sleds. haven't seen any this year yet though - and I am still looking - if anyone hears of one.

I really think Daphne is waiting for Rochester to go home with Marley  8O

I got mine off sled dog central. :D

A basket sled has the runners with a raised cargo area (basket). Good for established (packed) trails.
A toboggan sled has a plastic base between the runners, so it doesn't sink and bog down in looser snow.

Mine is a toboggan style.

I would be terrified to skijor with 4!! 8O
Sorry Kristine,

She seems a lot like Simon. He loves to chase balls and will do it all day. BUT we have Garfunkel...I fear the two would not mix well. He loves to chase whatever is moving and that means Simon. Poor Simon takes a lot of abuse from him.

Then again...It might take some of the heat off Simon...Nahhhhhh
Trust me, Pam. I thought of you guys the minute I recognized her potential. Given that you'd already adopted one of our other most challenging head cases <g> to date, I couldn't in good consience ask you to take on another.

Simon may feel differently and wonder why you didn't hold out for a chick dog    But we're all incredibly grateful you have Gar. He couldn't go to just any home any more than Daph can.

Not at all, as I got a super deal!
:sidestep:

$300, bag included.

A smaller version of the bag alone sells for $99, so I am really, really happy!
Nice! Can you keep an eye out for me?

Sure... as long as Kerry doesn't get me...... 8)
on sled dog central -

A sled for $300 in Carp Lake, MI (what a name!)
a NICE 3 wheel cart in a town near Harrisburg (Dover) PA - for $600.

You'd think that if the sled wasn't nearby they could just run it over to ya. :sidestep:

I mean it seems that they should be kind of self-shipping when you think about it.

:D
True and that way you'd get a couple of extra dogs as part of the package.
Well, yeah, but only if they have some power source. Or they're located uphill from you I guess

I would kind of hope they didn't come with a team of dogs because they probably wouldn't be OES, and then mine would get their noses all out of joint.
