Fav Halloween candy

With tomorrow the big day, it's time to talk about treats.....for us. What off brand or hard to find candy is your fav? Snickers, M&Ms, etc are easy to find---what candy does your inner child leap for joy when found?

I discovered Chick-o-Stick last week, mainly drawn by the label, Made in USA. Since most if not all Hershey product is now out of country, I was feeling a bit patriotic. YUM! Coconut and peanutbutter......whowouldhavethought!

Cherry Mash used to be a fav, but memories are stronger than reality now.

When I was a child I loved the homemade carmel popcorn balls - we were never afraid to eat them. I also loved the candy cigarettes - we played smoking, something that was cool in the early sixties.

!! Forgot about those! Went with the wax bottles with the flavored syrup inside.
Mary Janes :D
If you're gonna talk wax bottles, ya gotta talk about the wax lips !

Wasn't there a wax harmonica too?

I liked the chocolate cigarettes much more than the white candy cigs.
Wax teeth! But my favorite is the candy indian corn made by Brach's & only found in the fall of the year!

You can still, sometimes, find those wax bottles with the syrup inside. My grandkids love them when we find them. :)
I found a bunch of great "oldies" at the Mast General Store and also at RetroCandy (I think that was the name of the site). They've got all sorts of these oldies but goodies. :D

I went in search of Lollies. You know, the sweet tart suckers? YUM! 8)

View thru the Nostalgia candy sites, Ron, they also have the wax fangs, and wax mustache.

Lots of old favorites and memories or one time treats.......they were awful. Never was one for candy necklaces, ribbon candy, etc.

Don't believe I've every had a MaryJane........

DH in a snit, it's been YEARS since we've been to movie theater but now doing the Met Opera simu-cast on Saturdays in local theater.......and no more Jr. Mints in candy counter. That was his fav: popcorn and Jr. Mints.

Some folks mix Milk Duds into popcorn, he used to mix in Jr. Mints.
I now take my own Junior Mints to the movies
